Set up a new Mac laptop loaded files to external hard drive

Help!! I have a lot of files and my Mac couldn't hold all of these.  I had the installer put them in a file on an external hard drive.  When the installer loads the files Daz acknowledges them but does not show a picture just a name and when I click on it it says file does not exist.  I don't know how to show Daz where the files are.  Can someone advise please.

Thanks

I use flash drives to hold different content directories. You can name the directory, like Architectural Environments or <your name> Library and set up the directory Hierarchy with the relevant folders. A good way to see what is needed for the hierarchy is to download the zip and unzip it and use the structure for the data, Runtime/textures, etc. (different products will have different folder types they require).

Once you have it set up, you go to DS, under the content tab, use the side menu and go to Content Directory Manager, and under Current Directories, right-click Daz Studio Formats, add base and navigate to your new directory on your HD.
