Character Concept design artist - Help
Hey all,
I have been desperately trying to get some characters designed for an animated series, and my 2D concept artists have really dropped the ball on me. I need to get these characters done so we can complete a pitch script that will be presented to potential investors. I have attempted to morph Daz base characters into the ones that I need, but my skills are less than stellar in Daz (I'm almost exclusively 3DS Max and I'm not a character modeler). There will be a paid position available as soon as we can get some funding raised. If anyone is interested please contact me:

Thanks!

Just to get this clear: the initial work you are asking for will not be paid and whatever comes after that is depending on a fund raising that can only happen with the initial work already done?
As well you shouldn't post you email like this in a forum.
Pm sent
Linwelly,
I don't worry about it, my email is already out there. ;) But yes, I've got another environment modeler, a texture artist, a storyboard artist, a few writers, an editor, a voice over actor and a live action actor that wanted to do VO all on board (I won't name any names on an open forum when we're still so early in production). Plus a few people that are popular with a very active fanbase that agreed to help with marketing. I've got a website set up (I need to update it though), an Artella account and a Slated account which is where I'm hoping to find investors. Also a Youtube specifically for marketing. We already have a preliminary marketing and distribution plan. And it's all come to a screeching halt because of the character concepts and models. I have in the past tried to pay to have the concepts done, but additional revisions cost more money and it was just getting too expensive. I need people that are actually interested and passionate about it. And I know it is asking a lot to volunteer time and effort, but I've volunteered on other projects that may or may not take off...it's a gamble, but at least it keeps my skills sharp. The industry is changing, we have the internet to thank for that. I figure, if I never give it a shot, then I'll never know. ;)
If you need some help with character creation I might be able to help. Here some characters I created for my comic “Venture’s Girls”
Please keep in mind that if you do get anyone to help you/work for you, they can't share any DAZ models or textures, only the presets for you to create them yourself in DS and then it is up to you do do the work in 3DSMax.
Best of luck
Will do. I do have Daz, I'm just not very good with it. :/ And I don't intend to use the models themselves, more it's just trying to flesh out concepts and get sheets made up for modeling purposes.
Thanks!
Tami
Greycat,
Ah, see that's exactly what I'm talking about. I have no idea how you get that much variety from one character. Everytime I try, it looks like, well, Frankenstien might be a good example--except he was at least proportionate. LOL
