Your Favorite Daz "One Hit Wonder"...lol

Here a fun topic...what's your favorite "One Hit Wonder" from Daz?

Now, what do I mean?  What's your favorite item that was created obviously to fill a niche, but you have to be real imaginative to use it somewhere else.  For me, it was Minotaur 6.  I'm a big mythology buff and I loved that one.

Who else?

  • A number of RawArt's monsters are like this. They are so brilliant, but sometimes in a really narrow way.

Woody for G3M is maybe that one for me.

Agreed. Same for some of Josh's aliens. Quality work no doubt, but way to specific in most cases.

Sixus1Media has a few of those as well...but I love their work!

Either the "Woodie" - https://www.daz3d.com/1948-am-classic-car - or the Jungle Queen Safari Boat, which is no longer available (???)  but was Product Number 2102. Here's a 3dL and an Iray render of the boat:

Is that boat a reference to the movie, African Queen?

That's right, Derry's Work. And while the name is different, and there are differences here and there, that's what it was meant to be. And I still use this product, though usually as a background prop. One day, I'll apply new, Iray textures to it, but there's not enough hours in the day to do everything. Oh, and it came with a water prop, and a smoke prop, but they look a little unrealistic, by comparison.

Diamond Glitter, one of the first Luthbellina products I bought. It is a completely adorable anime/JRPG outfit with an Alice in Wonderland vibe. It converts well to G3F and I even managed to finagle the shoes into converting (some version of the "reposition them and transfer rigging" trick IIRC). Comes with a wide variety of textures. But if you don't do the type of art where a character would wear something like that, it's not going to be much use to you.

I was thinking about a weird arch-typical villain with that outfit!
