Transferink skin / material

Ok here is the thing. I have a character with no genitalia mat. I added the standard G3 anatomical parts.

I want to transfere the material from teh skin to the anatomical parts.

I went to the surfaces tab and added the Torso_TX material to diffuse color and Torso_SPEC to the specular Color and Torso_NM to normal map

This comes close but i am missing something.

I ddi some carefull cutting so i could show the result and not break forum policy.

I am missing some "darkness" and reflection/glossyness but i dont know how to add this properly.

I am doing this manually and im not sure if this is the right way or rather if this can be done quicker. (i know there is a anatomical part out there that has a "copy Material" script. Is there something similar for the standard anatomical parts?

YES! You can transfer material from the SKin to the Anatomical parts.

HOWEVER, you need a UV set for this to work. (The genitalia has a different set of instructions for mapping 2D texture maps to the 3D surface of the anatomical part... so you need a UV set (the transfer instructions) to make it work.)

Search the "FreeStuff" section in Renderosity for  "Torso UVs for G3F Anatomical Elements".

Cayman studios put out a UV set that works.

(Since Renderosity is another store, the direct link may get my post deleted even though this is a freebie. I will send you the link by direct message.)

Thanks for your reply, the parts i want to use are male and not female.

Hmmm... I do not know of a G3M Torso UV transfer.

There is a Genesis 8 Male version by SuGeorgeSu at Renderosity.

HOWEVER... since Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 are largely identical, I believe we may be able to work as it says for the G3F Torso UV set by CaymanStudios.

Simply rename the "Genesis 8" folder to "Genesis 3" from the SuGeorgeSu G8M download package, and see what that does.

I have downloaded that one. I will install it and see how that works.

I just did it with Alien-X for Genesis 3 Male... it works!

You have to take the SuGeorgeSu download and rename two directories (basically... instead of "Genesis 8", it needs to read "Genesis 3").

Once that is done, you can Copy the Torso Surface to the Genitalia... then you can change the UV Set on the Genitalia to "SGSTorsoUV". And you're done!
