How to transfer to new PC
Hi, I use Daz 4.10 on my laptop. Very quickly found that I need something with more power, so I'm getting a much needed upgrade soon.
I have lots of content installed via the DIM. How would I transfer this over?
I have other content installed manually, and I assume I would just paste it into the new directories.
I'm planning to install Daz on the new machine, and then log in to DIM with my account to maybe find the reinstallation procedures. I have my manually installed stuff on an external harddrive already. Is this the correct method? Unfortunately I don't know off-hand where my some of my Daz stuff was installed, like the program itself or the files that get installed through DIM. I've just been using shortcuts from the desktop, but I do know where all my manually installed files are.
Thanks.

You can just transfer the Content Management System (from C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\Daz 3D\cms\ContentCluster) to the new machine and, once your have the content moved en bloc to the new content directrories, DS will work as it uses only relative paths. If you use the same directories on the new machine and the old you can also transfer the /Manifests folder from the Instal Manager folder in your Public Documents folder to the new machine and DIM will be able to handle the isntalled content, however since the manifests use absolute paths they will not be correct if the drive letter or content directory path are changed.
I understood most of that, thank you!
