I finally bought The Bat Thing by The Antfarm

I get an email about this product...probably once a week that it is on sale.(Thanks ATI! love your plug-in)

Or it's one of the 21 most discounted Daz items.....AND ....and.....

It appears to be included in every sale....no matter the topic or vendors included, this item is ALWAYS listed as getting a discount.

So the conspiracy theorist in me thinks....maybe if I get this I will be initiated into a secret society.

Maybe I will get a mask in the mail and a decoder ring an an invite to a grove somewhere to party with Hollywood elites....

So I'm doing a story that needs lots of demon-like creatures and while thinking about compatible morphs and such, I think about going full on with monsters and voici 

in my email tonight is the Bat Thing AGAIN. I have no idea why. The Antfarm has no new items out......

So this time I bought it.

I bought it.

And I waited....and so far, nothing yet.....

Waiting for a Store Credit email...maybe....

A PM from Richard Haseltine telling me the answer to the secret membership question.....

Maybe Jamie sending me the Daz Beta version 11.347.2 which has a new faster-rendering iray engine.

Maybe a PM from Chris Palomino giving me a link to download his new set of EVERY DAZ Animal as a cyborg equivalent.

So far nothing....

Somebody clue me in....where's my prize?

    Actually, Ant Farm does have a new item out tonight. Did you purchase it and you are unable to download it? Can you explain a bit more, please?  Did you put in a ticket?

    By the way, Cris is short for Cristina.

    Apologies for the gender flub. No, I did not know the temple was his. Silly me, I expected some kind of forewarning (commercial thread)  that he had a new product coming.

    Can you explain a bit more, please? 

    Well, I was making a humorous post about how often I keep coming across The Bat Thing for sale. Well, this time, there was a reason.

    I'll be getting his water temple and I'll submit a ticket for the extra discount from the two new purchases + featured vendor. 

    Mentioning you was only a compliment and I wish you would make more products in that style. I LOVE YOUR CYBER DOG release...More! More!

    Ah, now I understand. Maybe you can change the forum title as it doesn't sound like the disappointment was coming from the product itself?

    Remember you need two new products for the extra discount on the featured stores.

    And thank you. I will see what I can do to do more products as you suggest.  I very much love doing poses for DzFire's wonderful robots.

    The title is a teaser.

    Negative gets more attention than positive, don't you know the internet(s)?

    I'm disapointed that the product did not usher me into a secret club.

    I'm sure there are some very upset members poppping into this thread hoping to defend the great AntFarm, as all his products are awesome.

    Not true. I get emails for products that I already own. It goes by wishlist so I think, until I manually remove them from the list, I still get notices.

    Oh, you don't have autosync turned on? In that case, you need to do a manual sync once, so the notifications are up-to-date. Anyway, I'm getting a little off-topic here. :D

    Back? Three books are already available on Amazon, the fourth is coming this summer, if all goes well. So I'm constantly in it! :)

    Well, I hope you do the right thing and announce that it has arrived - when it does.

    You know, start one of those threads where you share the progress, show some updates and works-in-progress....lol

    You can't really blame the PA for a daz marketing blitz on a bought out product.  AF really has nothing to do with the emails.  He just made the awesome product.

    Just please remember that no PA likes to see their product portrayed in a negative light, even if you meant it as being funny. It really is not fair to the PA, specially if you really do like their product.

    I have to agree. The title worked as clickbait -- I clicked on it purely to see what caused the disappointment.

    However, if I were a PA, I'd rather the title not be so negative as it required me to read a significant bit to discover the truth (and sometimes when just skimming, I don't read that much of a post).

    I dunno, I thought it was funny.

    When I saw the title, I legitimately thought something was wrong with it (it's still in my wishlist)

    By the 4th sentence, I knew it was a joke :)

    LOL, okay, here are the facts. :D 3 books, all of them over 1000 panels. In book 3 I finally changed to Iray. Book 4 I plan with all G8 people--if I can get that bloody Belle6 skin over. :D

    I rarely have WIP stuff... When it's being written, there are no renders. I only set up the scenes so the text can be in sync with what is really there. No characters at this point. After the text is finalized, has gone through the editor, it's time to add the characters, and do renders 24/7. I can't post any WIP stuff, my PC is tied up for a couple of weeks during this time. And of course, this is going to be during the summer. When else would I heat my house with a graphic card? :D
