Next up: Beaune Courtyard [Commercial]

This set is nearing completion. A couple more props to model, but I thought I'd give you a sneak peek.

Beaune is a town in France considered to be the capital of Burgundy wine. This set is strongly inspired by the town's medieval hospital

  • No Faveral, I just meant I looked on Google and seen the pictures of the medieval hospital of Saint-Esprit, amazing likeness.  The farthest I've been is Moscow Russia, perhaps you may one day make a Saint Basil's cathedral model, who knows laugh.

Help! My credit card has yet to recover from MICK Gothic and Luc produces an even more spectacular set.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

That is one seriously realistic rendering of the Hospices de Beaune. Well Done.

    wonderful.

i hadn't really thought about it until i checked out the panorama.  but how is the courtyard entered?  any openable doors or gates?

Sorry Jardine, I missed your question.

You would enter the courtyard through the “tunnel” between the two towers. There is a door at the end of the entrance but it’s not rigged.

It’s always an issue for environs to block the horizon. For the sets to be useful you want there to be little or no angles where you have an open view to the horizon. That’s why I didn’t rig this door. But it should be no problem to fix that with the geometry editor if you wished to do that, and replace it with a rigged door from one of the MICK sets for example

Is this Iray or 3Delight? Looks great

  • FaveralFaveral Posts: 416

This is I-ray jash. Iray is so much more realistic in my view.

Beaune, with roofing all given the " ...roof3" texture. Sunset from Iray Worlds. Hit the render button, made a cup of tea, and the render was done (on an 17-7700, with an GTX1080). Nice one, Faveral!

Superbe comme toujours - je pense que le Clos de Vougeot a une petite ressemblance- felicitation d'un Lorrain Francomtois

It's a fantastic model, but on the promos the outside looks a little "flat".
