Can you find out how large a download/product size is before purchasing?

I'm not talking about tutorials, but many other products are getting 500meg - 1gig.... not sure why??... but it would be nice to have this information included in the product store page so folks for which this is an issue can decide before purchasing. If its somewhere besides in DIM or Product Library please point me to it.

I agree. not everyone has the best ISP and I have tried a couple of d/l managers that din't cut it. I still have several addons i have purchased that I haven't d/led yet because the file size is way over the top.

The best you can do know is ask in the forum threads. I was looking at the RiversoftArt billboard people addons and thought about getting a couple when I found out the files are over a gig in size.

That's over a gig PER FILE, and there are many files per billboard product to download. The Modern City Life product is over 15 GB to download the whole product.

The pack contains around 30 different billboards, with 72 angles for each billboard. Counting only diffuse and transparency for each variation, that already means more than 4000 texture files....

Yeah I stopped buying them. They are cool but too big.. plus the angles never look natural to me. Not sure why.

How long do we have to keep griping about the same issues before you do something about them daz? A simple text entry that shows file size per product could not be a difficult update.

I agree, with this!  File sizes are getting way out of hand. And to actually know the file size would be nice before purchase. I don't mind the download, I have a decent connection. Though I can see it being a huge issue with others. In this case smaller is better.  Freaking huge textures.

Well, displaying file size would be good; reducing the size of files, please dont.

Personally, I wish images were png not jpeg.

1 of each with a manual option for turning them would do.

Each billboard is a different angle on the item shown, each image is unique. Orientation to the camera is handled separately and doesn't require extra billboards.

That wouldn't work as well. Billboards need to face the camera to look good, so if you only have one texture with one angle available it will work only for one camera angle...
