You could get 32% off a week or so ago, however to get that you needed to buy 3 new items, so there was a buy in cost. 20% with no strings attached is pretty good, and those sort of deals are fairly rare these days.
Yeah, 20% is a good deal. If I hadn't of already taken advantage of a couple of other GC sales a month ago, I'd jump on this one.
Very very rarely, that 32% one also involved a special discount DAZ was offering at the same time for a 20% your entire order one time. plus of course you needed the three items. When you see 20% off, jump on it.

That 32% off that's being mentioned is best described as an 'anomoly' rather than something that happens sometimes. The planets were in alignment that day, thanks to two separate gift card sales stacking, and that additional coupon that was being offered. Any of those elements by themselves wouldn't have added up to anywhere near 32%, and as pointed out, the 'buy in' for a good portion of that discount involved buying some prerequisite items, which offset part of that 32% a bit, unless you were going to buy the prereqs anyways. The fact that the new items you were buying in one of the sales counted as the 'new item' prereq in the 2nd sale was also fortunate.
10-15% happens every so often during the year, sometimes with and other times without prerequisite purchases, anything over 15% is unusual. So yeah, this is a pretty good deal if you are loking to bank some store credit.
Of course, time is running out on the gift card sale (ends in a couple of hours).
Sometimes there are '$10 gift certificate' or some other amount in sales with prereqs (we had one of these in the last week), so using that limited snapshot you might see something that works out to say 33% off or something, depending on how much the prereqs cost you, but those are for fixed amounts, not a simple %.
According to the banner ad it lasts until 12:59 pm tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon DAZ time.

A gift card for more than 10% off without a purchase of some kind is extremely unusual and well worth jumping on.

Solved, there was a second email with a valid code.
I always get two e-mails for a gift card and one of them is wrong. It's always the first one I try as well. I don't know if this is due to the order I go through my e-mails, whether the first attempt always fails, of just down to luck.
Never had a problem with gift cards. I get one e-mail and the code always works.
I sometimes get three. It's always the last email that has the correct code.
"20% off over $200" .... so $400 off if $2,000 ?

Last time was Christmas Day; considering how much I spent, it was more of a pressie for Daz than for me. :)
Well, yes - that's a major point DAZ is taking advantage of. We've got this store credit burning a hole in our pocket and some things we may have not considered become "What the heck, it's only $11.97 and I can return it if I don't like it. . . "
Another way to look at this is as a subtle way of increasing the percentage that goes to the PA. Yes, they still get 50% of the list, but if we pay with a 20% off store credit then DAZ is effectively getting 30% real money on that sale.
Yeh, I was sort of watching for something exciting to spend the credit on when the gift card sale ended.
