So I have been looking at this for awhile and it was part of the current flash sale. However, when I go to install it, and look for a serial number there is none in my serial number list for this. Also, it does say its compatible with 4.10 but the description says 4.5. I figured I would try it since if I wait for an answer on compatibility it will be too late to get it in the flash sale. But without a serial number I can't activate it anyway. Any ideas? Does it take a bit for the serial number to show up? Its been awhile since I installed anything that needed a serial number lol.
Edit - never mind on the serial number I figured it out. For anyone that needs to know you have to install (I did a manual install since I have an external drive) and start Daz Studio. There will be a start page with the serial number. If you go to the info page it will also give you the rest of what you need to know. Will report back if it works in 4.10

Well, the good news is, that it does indeed work in 4.10 and it works in Iray although the skydome only works in 3Delight. It does take a bit of time to generate the terrain but it looks pretty good. Although I have other tools to generate terrain (Bryce is a great terrain builder, if you don't have it, you should get it, despite some limitations its a beautiful program. wish they would update it to 64bit support), this one actually generates the terrain inside of of Daz so no importing stuff. You will have to use the Iray preview window to see the terrain.
How does it compare to Terra Dome 3?
Terradome was designed and built for a graphcis card that's at least 4GB. I only have 2GB and it runs and renders slow for me, and DS gets all 'jerky' and makes my mouse get kind of spastic. I haven't used it for a long time. So if you have a good card with at least 4+GB, it will run great for you.
I honestly only did one really quick test to see if it would actually work on the latest version of Daz. Its different than TerraDome3, its more like the Bryce and Carrara terrain generators. It does give you a huge amount of control as far as height mapping etc and has a LOT of options for terrain maps. Its also more complicated to figure out, but if you have any experience in Bryce or Carrara, its a bit easier to understand.
Odd - Terra Dome 3 ran fine for me even without a Nvidia card, and the one I had only had about 1GB of Vram, it was slow to render but then every thing was. But I had no trouble navigating around the scene.
I have both although I have used Terradome 3 oftener, with no real slow dow and that is cpu only.
With Infinito I find it more of a challenge to get things right but you can scatter items over the surface from inside Infinito and, as far as I can remember, they follow the contours of the land automatically. I only tried it the once though and that was a while ago :)
