I don't know for sure, but I think it is. The Brambles set says this in the description: A huge set of realistic, high poly, Bramble, Briar and Blackberry plants. I would think if the props were flat, transmapped, "2.5D", they wouldn't be high poly.

If you look down through the images there's a clay render. The leaves look modeled, but there may still be some transparencies involved since blackberry leaves have fine sawtooth edges which are very difficult to model.

These remind me of my childhood - I was the one responsible for caring for, picking and cutting back the very large raspberry patch in our garden. I can still feel the scratches...eek. Made me look like I'd been in a serious cat fight ;).

Always one way to find out... To the readme! http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/52873/file_list

There apear to be 2 transparency textures (my guess would be for the serrated leaves as mentioned by someone else)

Well, I decided to take Daz up on their offer, and I bought both plant products and the free $10 gift card, so here you go:

I've attached several viewport "draws," Shaded Wireframe, with various parts of the plant hidden using the Geometry Editor tool. Each image is labeled with the parts left showing. As you can see, the various parts are modeled. The leaves and the petals are multi-poly, allowing them to bend, but they are "flat," using image maps and trans maps to create the shape. Each prop can be rendered from any angle.

You're welcome. And hard to beat the price with today's Gift Card offer.

LOL... You paid for Blackberry bushes!? We're always trying to kill them off in our yard. They do indeed grow like weeds, and the seeds get scattered by the bird population, so they are always a problem around here.

On the otherhand, I do like freshly picked berries…

There are wild blackberries & Cumberland raspberries at my mom's land. I did transplant a few of the Cumberland raspberries to my yard but I left the wild blackberries because they have some of the meanest thorns, however they are loaded this year so I will but on some gloves and go at them. I bought thornless blackberries of several varieties that are supposed to ripen from late June to late August at WalMart (they are probably exagerating though). laugh

House I grew up with had a half acre garden my father (and us kids) created over many years. But then... dun dun DUN! The blackberries!

My father didn't keep the garden up as well after a certain point, and the blackberries went from a curiousity in one corner to one quarter to swallowing the garden and advancing on the house, beaten back periodically.

Parents would try to get us to pick blackberries but I couldn't do it without constantly being stuck... and I don't like blackberries (never liked chewing the seeds in them, blech).

    Memories. ;)

We had a huge backyard filled with blackberries too... an area I "accidentally" let grow every year as it cut down on the amount of grass I had to mow.   Yeah, those things were mean to pick the berries from, and our bushes were over ten feet high and some were practically trees, so who knew how old they were... I had a "picking" outfit that consisted of an old heavy duty army jacket, my thickest jeans, protective goggles, heavy gloves and a ski mask, and I'd just wade into the bushes.  It was hot as heck, but the blackberry cobbler and homemade preserves were great and then one of my Dad's old hippie friends started making blackberry wine...

Blackberries: free food. Apple and blackberry pie (with cream, with ice cream, with anything (but NEVER custard)).

I shall be getting these. By the pricking of my thumbs ...
