Question about Ansikos Ladybird

arne207arne207 Posts: 161

Hi there, can anyone who bought the Beetle-alike car (or Ansiko him/herself) tell me whether the wheels on it can be moved up and down as well? Many car models only have spinning wheels, but I'd like to do some racing-like scenes where you need axle movement like in the picture...

Thanks!

Hi, I've just brought this vehicle and I have to say it's a very good model highly recconmended.

As for your question it is possible to select each wheel and move them up and down and roll the body indepenatly too.

    Quick screen capture.

Tjohn, there is a "Herbie" texture with the model.

Quick render with light on feature.

It's not shown in the promo's or in the Materials tab for the model, I loaded it manually.

Is it possible to open the trunk?

y3kman, Sady no. it would have been nice to have access to both luggage at front and engine bay at back.

I grew up with that beetle on tv, that really is a lovebug! There's also a brand of robot mowers here available that have the iconic look.

You often hear warnings about making 3D copies of commercial stuff because of copyright. For some reason that doesn't seem to include cars and other vehicles? There are tons of 3D copies of these out there.

Estroyer, same here and I had a Beetle back in the early 80's when you could pick up a reasonable one here for about £500.

I'd like to see Ansikos make a VW Type 181 or Variant fastback next.

My friend Jeff still drives his Beetle.  She's as old as me.  Her manufacturing date was 1961, same year I was born!  LOL  She needs allot of body and interior work but the engine is gold and well kept up!

Two things that bug me about this car...

    1. some of the colours seem a bit off... might be, because I'm used to the colours mostly sold in germany...
    2. the seats look different than those I remember from the VW Beetle from the sixties/seventies...

But it's great, that even the small design in the middle of the steering wheel - the stylized "Wolfsburg" (Wolves Castle) for the town where VW has it's largest factory - is included smiley

maikdeker, you are right about the colours and there are some great references on the net for correct colours. I like nice touches like the "Wolfsburg" castle too.

What would also be nice would be the earlier "Oval window" version with the flower vase.

The interior on this one is very well made though smiley

Indeed. A lot of the vehicles available here and elsewhere, look great from the outside, but the interior modelling is very basic. On this one the attention to detail on the dashboard is outstanding.
