Not just the Chill Out items.

And I only have a few MM items even in my wishlist. This is going to be a cheap day.

And for a lot of other stuff, too. Though they seem to show in the shopping cart.
No wonder though, as it's March again laugh

As this is a "weekend madness flashback sale," I wonder if there are going to be different MM products to choose from each day of the weekend? Or are these the 60 best sellers from MM, but will only be available through Sunday?

I think Daz is trying to drive us all Mad.  Or at least the store software is... laugh

I'll be interested to see what other sales pop up over the weekend.  I already grabbed the stuff from March Madness that I wanted durin MM, and Edward wasn't a part of March Madness...

March Madness was more March Meh-ness anyways... although there were a couple of fun moments (the V4 sale).

I'm seeing additional discounts when I add three items. Can you show me a cart?

Just when I was wondering if I would have to wait till october/december for the next big sales to get Aiko8pro and I get it served on a silver platter...

With my first complete bundle down, I guess I can start tweaking even more compared to the Genesis 8 Essentials that is bundled with the starter kit.

On a side note, Aiko8 seems one of the few female models to lack a HD version.
Is it because it's a relatively new model?

  • WandWWandW Posts: 2,890

I was out for a meeting last evening and I had 17 items on my WL that were 80% off on a coupon I missed. angry

DAZ is being far more sucessful at p***ing me off than getting me to spend money this week...

    OUCH.

Wish Daz would let people gift other buyers with products. (NOT gift cards, the actual products.) I wouldn't have minded picking them up for you and you paying me back. How about this idea- Daz sets up a separate wishlist section called BFO (Buy For Others)  Wishlists and you can purchase items for other people?

In my fantasy for the future:
*There would be BFO wishlists that remove products once the owner of the list purchases the items. So it's always up to date.

*The wishlist has a BFO fund provided by the owner. If Person A buys for the owner, the funds are automatically transferred to them. If the funds available are low, the wishlist is locked and must be funded again.

*At the top of the wishlist is a green or red statement "Currently online" or "Currently offline"  Buyers are responsible for providing their status or the site does it automatically. I like the latter. (This is my fantasy, after all.)  There will be a link to a page showing all BFO wishlist owners who are offline and missing the sale. (DROOL)

*A percentage off is assigned by the wishlist owner as to the minimum amount off they want the item to be bought. (Example 60%)  The item is locked unless that amount is in play in the cart.

    We can always dream.

Buying for others is always a problem because what if someone buys me an item with a stolen credit card? I thought I had that item, I paid the person who got me the item, and then boom, the item is taken away because of credit card fraud.

So the buyer has a holding account (paid for via Paypal) with (example) $25 or whatever a person wants to let them spend on their behalf. It would be set up with people you agree to shop for (and they are the ones depositing the money in advance into it), so you'd probably set it up between friends. So Ati, ......hmmm...let's see..what other friends do I ......uh oh.  cheeky

I spent in quite a bit in March.  If the whole weekend is a repeat - then my $ is safe.

If the people setting up the sales were at all in tune with the community, they would know that most of us think March Madness this year was meh at best and try to figure out a different sale. Why try to bring a sale to life that most wished died when it was here the first time?

Saw the thread about being "priced out of a hobby" and just have to say that I've blown through 2 decent-sized gift cards in the last week since the prices were so good. Extremely high quality content like Floyd from DAZ, as well as from elite vendors like @Luthbel, @Stonemason, @Aeon Soul, @Linday, @smay, and others. Couldn't be more satisfied with the value - now to find some time to render!

Just send them a Gift Card. I've done that several times to people who were out of money. They've always paid me back.

In the past when this has been asked for one reason for not allowing gifting was the complication of PC membership and the different prices.

The idea was to let us buy an item for someone who is not here where there's a good sale going on. For example, I know you want item X, and I also know you just went to sleep. And suddenly, a sale comes along. I could buy item X for you, and you'd be happy when you wake up.

But the thing is, you may not be too happy when you wake up because maybe you were waiting for a 70% sale, and someone got it for you at only 60%. Or who can tell what qualifying item(s) you would have picked?

I think this would cause major issues.

I run an online game site, and credit card fraud was a real issue when you could purchase for others. As soon as you could no longer do that, credit card fraud dropped to 0%.

That's a nice thought, Cathie.  smiley  However, keep in mind that these were all items that I didn't buy when they were 60% off.  Also, I think there are a couple of items I should take off my WL, although I would have bought most of them, plus scanned through the list for any hidden gems, as 80% off really loosens my pursestrings...

As far as Discounts, I've been a PC member for over ten years, so there isn't much I actually need, so I amost never buy anything for under 60% off unles there is some other deal associated with it.  That's why the March Madness rehash seems so lame; This is stuff I didn't buy when it had additional discounted items associated with it, so why would I buy it now?

Is there supposed to be a discount for Floyd? I have his pro bundle & 3 of the add ons -- yes, from the correct category -- in my cart yet I'm not seeing that 20% discount I keep hearing about for previous G8 buyers. Yes, I'm a PC member and the owner of 2 G8 male pro bundles but $52.90 is the lowest I can get him, with the 3 add ons I've picked that's $76 US dollars (over $100 Canadian). Looks like I'll have to wait for another sale 'cuz no way do I got enough loonies for that right now.

I don't know what the threshhold was, it may well be - if you don't have a banner/onsite message - that two didn't earn the extra discount. You should still have the base discount and another discount for the three add-ons, however.
