Brrrrrr....What's with all the winter stuff?

...winter content?  It's less than a month before Summer.   I would imagine a lot of people here in the States would like to forget about snow and ice after what many of us went through this year.

Actually I have the same internal discussion myself when scheduling PC content.. but then try to bear in mind that actually it's winter in other places in the world.. so I don't feel bad about mixing it up.

Most mornings lately, it's been between 34 and 37 Farenheit (1.5 and 3 Celsius) where I live, and the real Winter is still weeks away.

As for the clothes, they look okay, but there's little incentive to buy, with nothing else on offer. I'll wait for a better sale before spending any more money.

Edit: It wasn't that long ago that I was complaining of temperatures over 115 F that continued over a week straight!

...I'm thinking of all the folks in the Great Lakes and northeast regions who got back, to back, to back etc snowstorms that never seemed to quit. Even here in Portland (OR) winter lasted a lot longer than it should have and we had some of the latest snow/ice events I ever remembered here.

There are those of us on this side of the world who are glad spring finally arrived and decided to stick around.

If I ever won a lotto, I'd consider moving to Tahiti.

Arkansas ... my grandfather used to say if you don't like the weather, stick around about 30 minutes and it wil change. No spring weather went from warm winter to warm May. Record temps now towards the end of May we get the rain and cooler days. I think my frandfather might have been right.

I'd rather have winter here as I'm in the south east where we will be plagued by vermin, pestilence and humidity...For nearly SIX months...

Heh, I picked up SMay's Santa Claus character and hair recently just to be prepared for creating new Christmas cards months from now. They were on a great sale for one day -- buying the character & hair separately was something like half the (discounted) price of the bundle!

Could somebody post reasonably sized renders of the individual components of the new winter outfit? I'd like to see what I'm getting before commiting to buying.

My question is are the textures interchangeable between male and female?

Im picking up the outfit and the male texture expansion. The hotel looks nice but I am wary of sets that contain so much clear or reflective surfaces whose promos look grainy. Makes me wonder if it’s slow or difficult to render.

The other sets I have from this team are very cool but slow to render, so I assume this one is as well.

grammar police..misplaced "and" should be "an". of instead of off. Its confusing ...yeah, I was wondering about the placement of chill products when its 80. I only dream of winter in nighmares. But then, south of the equator, and Antartica especially, its cold time.

nothing hit me with gotta have it.

Been there, done that. I'd skip it and go back to Fiji.  Both cultures are amazing but the prices were lower in Fiji.

I don't have an issue with snow things in spring/summer, it gives buyers a chance to do renders without rushing them to send for holiday cards, etc. I mean seriously, here in the states in September, now the stores put out their Christmas stuff in September. (Which is silly. And they skip Fall completely. Poor Thanksgiving doesn't stand a chance anymore...) I'm thinking of Home Depot and Lowes in particular. By late August/early September both have a Christmas section, removing garden fountains, etc, and that is so seasonally off it isn't funny. Sept/Oct/Nov in Florida can still be 70-90 degrees in the Panhandle.

I can always use winter clothing. Instant buy the male texture set and unisex base.

I agree with NOT being locked into trying to follow regional weather patterns.

AND since Winter clothes are so dang rare, I can't help but rejoice at WINTER CLOTHES!!!!!!!!

On a side note, it was funny how much Christmas stuff was on sale AFTER Christmas.

I'm looking at you, every V4 Holiday item ever.

It's only spring and I already miss winter. I fricking haaaaate the heat.

At least there is some decent, practical winter stuff in the store.

I'll take it, even if it is out of season. :)  (And I hate winter.  Every time I think about moving to Minnesota, I remember winter and continue to put up with Chicago instead.)

I'm also in Portland, Oregon, and I definitely had enough of winter. I'm sure the winter things in today's offering will be useful eventually, but I think I'll wait a while before I buy.

Anyone else notice that purchasing the Bundle is actually more expensive than if you add the items individually? The Bundle is $46.53. With today’s discount, the price for adding the five Bundle products in years ur cart separately is $43.29. These are based on the Prime Member rate, but I think it’s still cheaper to add all items individually even without Prime.

Now, If you add the bundle with the two additional ski clothes texture sets, the total for all of it becomes $45.89, which is still cheaper than the Bundle itself.

I figure if the official promos are grainy, that is a bad sign for us mere mortal users.

Agreed, I wishlisted them because ice, but honestly, I doubt if the PA can't render it without grain that my computer has any shot at all.

Exactly! Just goes to show, users will complain about anything.

Agreed. I like cool weather and here in Dallas we just skipped spring and went right into summer.

...now you're talking.  Gimme a beach brolly, chez lounge, a book, Tiki bar a few feet down the beach where I can get nice tall drinks, a kite in the air, and I'd be as happy as a clam.

Just seeing a Stanley Cup hockey match on a television in a pub is enough to make my old bones and joints ache.
