He looks awesome with the beard .. not so much without. the promo pics show him with beard..yeah he's a wizard, but the beard DOES NOT COME WITH THE WIZARD. It doesn;t say in the description that the beard is extra .... it should.
pretty pricey to get the wqhole kit too

It does quite clearly say what is included; the beard is NOT one of the items included. That seems clear enough to me.
I agree that folks think wizards should have beards, but if you're portraying a person - then some will and some wont. Of course, female wizards (they can be called wizards), won't have a beard as a rule; unless in 'your world' the effect of magic practice causes hair growth.
It gives folks the option, to pay for something they wont, and not forced to buy something they don't want.
Looks damn good - but there's the nifty detail that I own several wizards and wizards robes from the other generations already. On the fence with this.
Actually the one thing putting me off is the lack of depth on the dforce clothes - close ups can look odd.
I own the excellent Mech4D Wizzard for G2 and other Wizard outfits. I rarely even do this type of fantasy imagery. What can I say? Luthbel got me on this one. The promos look utterly stunning!

The beard went on sale at the same time as the rest of the stuff in a group sale. You can't link to an item used that doesn't have a page yet. Since they went on sale at the same time, neither could link to the other. But they are part of a group release, so they will all use the others' stuff in the promos generally.

Nothing againast the PA, the wise wizard does look nice but everything comes separately forcing me to buy a bundle. When I already have a really nice grand wizard and he came with everything in one package. character ,clothes, beard,props,it all , So why do I need another one again?
Because not everyone wants "the whole package". Some just want the beard.
Besides, if you're happy with the G2 one, then no one's forcing you to buy this one for G8... or did I miss something?
Might buy the man himself. Not just a good wizard. Could be an old worker drinking an Ale in his favorite bar, a homeless man on the street, an old man in a senior citizens residence ...

where did you get that from? I never said anything about the generation of character , the wise wizard descriptions says "Wise Wizard HD Character for Genesis 8 Male" Hence the word "Wizard". similar as past sets were worded as I pointed out above., So whats your point again?
My point is weather its genesis 2 or genesis 3,or 8 , that other wiazrd sets similar with the same "name and description" have comes complete in the past not having to buy a bundle to get everything if you want the wizard as worded, Now if I had a complaint about the generations compatibility I would have stated that. & because my genesis2 wizard can be ported very easy to genesis 8, that was not my comment.
You said ‘forcing me to buy a bundle’ but i think the idea is nobody is being forced, especially if they have an equivalent they’re happy with.
If you want the beard and clothes then yes you are either forced to buy the bundle to save a few extra dollars , or you can buy them individually . either way in sets past from gen4 to genesis3 everything came together, does not anyone read the OP comment of when she complained that everything "DOES NOT COME WITH THE WIZARD"
I rather though my comment appropriate in response, my apology for confusing you all.
I think it's just kind of a baffling complaint, 'products being released over and over again' when the wizard you mention came out 4 years ago, two generations ago, and before both Iray and dForce.
I mean, I get when people say 'another faerie character??', because they come out a lot (although, IMO, in lots of different ways).
Maybe Will. But I was commenting on the OP comment that she is right about past sets being sold complete . If you guys want to buy peice meal content that is really none of my business . I never directed my comment to such. . like I said I was commenting to the OP. I don't need another wizard set myself. I have 4 of them now, & given anyone of them I can kit bash together to make similar. especially if I have to buy the beard, clothes and props all over again. That is my point silly or not ,

At last, a much more convincing set of eyebrows that "beetle" as real ones do on very old faces. I hope this is a sign that modelling of eyebrows beyound a patch of "lawn and paint' will take such a creative advance. Eyebrows have improved greatly but there are some as amazing as mustaches. I usually choose characters by their eyebrows, and the less they look like makeup the better for my purposes. I especially like how the beard comes out from the temple and the jaw wispy and gradually. The visage is venerable. The only negative for me is the overly done bumpiness of the skin. Most elders to me have actually very smooth skin. If this can be dialed down, that will be great! This character will make a fine boon companion to the Wise Sensei. I'm not into wizards, but well lived old gents will do. I didn't like the new elders like Ollie because they were too toony for me, but this new character may cut my purse.

Uh, I thought it was pretty clear that the beard was a separate product. And if people are going to complain about anything being rehashed and resold over and over, it should be the exact same morph sets we have to buy again and again for every new Genesis figure.
This set is optimzed for dForce, has different texture styles, and is for a different figure. I'd hardly think a quality product, regardless of whether a similar one has been done before, should be worth complaining about.
I have to agree- those nipples look weird- well the nipple area. I'm not even seeing the nipples.

The Beard is the Hair. The whole thing may be expensive but the bundle is worth it.
Its definitly the best wizard I have seen yet. I got it as soon as I woke up at 3;30 am

I love how the figure looks like he is in half decent shape but gone to seed/age; he might make a good old warrior/king.

I just bought the robes, I was quite happy it was separate to the beard and character as well as a bundle for those who wanted that
they could be clerical robes or anything if one wished
Nice looking wizard.... but I passed. I have never once rendered a wizard. And I’m on team “ack please fix those nips.”
yeah those nipples look.... familiar to me. no nipple-shaming!
