I'm pretty sure I bought them and installed them in Particle Shop. I haven't got Painter although Particle Shop appears in a sub-menu called Painter. PSP has a "Restore Purchases" option in it's help menu but this doesn't work. I can't find anything in Particle Shop to do this.
I've opened a ticket with Corel, I'll see what they come up with.
Yes. I found that and I was going to come back and add that. Do your brushes show purchased in the panel where you buy more content? If so, have you tried clicking on the word "Purchased". Painter 2018 started crashing at start up and I had to reset it and all of my brushes were gone. I did the restore purchase but only part of my brushes came back. Not that big brush pack that I had just purchased. I was upset and I contacted Support, but while I was waiting to hear back, I clicked on the word purchase and it re-installed my brushes. When I heard back from Support, they sent me the installer for them. So I'm covered either way.
Ron Deviney ROCKS!
I own lots of his brushes (and want more). I started with GIMP but now subscribe to PS CC. I have upgraded PS versions twice since I started the subscription, which I figure would have cost me much more than the $120 bucks per year that I spend on the subscription.
They don't show up under purchased and the All Brushes panel wants to sell them to me. I tried clicking on Buy Now to see if it would remember that that I have already bought them, but it just comes up with a box asking for credit card details.
...yeah, here you have to pay extra for extended download coverage and/or a hard media backup (which is still on DVD [that can become corrupted with time] instead of USB).
I also find the popup after closing to be annoying. About the only thing I use PSP for anymore is adding text to graphics or doing minor edits/changes to textures.
I tested a programme called Exposure X3 which has much nicer preset filters, including ones that mimic actual film brand/historical types, and effects (it also allows for creating your own custom filters as well) and includes two applications, one for enlarging images without loss of quality and another for more "artistic" effects.
As it is, I have been using Gimp which does support .abr brushes for PS (not sure about the backgrounds as those are a different format). I can't have them all loaded so I only have the ones I use the most permanently loaded and then swap from a master folder where I keep the rest categorised.
I'm in Australia and if you buy the full version not just update you also get two options of either 2 year redownload option or a copy of the full programe plus an extras that were offered on disc for about another $10 once or twice I only went with the update but others like this 2018 version the full version and extras were so so cheap massive discount went that way which I prefer and got the back up disc as well
just looked up paintshop pro 2018 specs and looks like maybe able to use some of Ron's products the abr files asl, tpl, psd (as in ron's war essentials) files not listed still looks like can for most part will work which be great hard to find good brushes for paintshop
Yes, I can use all Ron's brushes, but even PSP2018 won't install any newer ones from Giltter going forward. I bought Glitter and somethng else and had to return them both. I complained because at the time, the product page said they would support CS. But clearly they didn't. I told Daz they need to change that wording because it's misleading. Tells me my program doesn't support it. And I have PSCS2 which is ancient and it works with all Ron's older brushes, but won't work with Glitter and newer and I get the same message about the brush format is newer than my program will support. I don't want to keep converting to png just to use them. Sad? Yes I am, but I can't justify (or afford) a PS subscription, and I don't have need for any of the other stuff that's offered with it.
Corel support told me how to fix this. To restore purchases in Particle Shop you have to click the question mark at the bottom left of the screen which gives you a menu with this option. I've got my brushes back now
Hey, that's great news! Glad you got them back.
