something odd that I noticed about genesis

The tear line is in a map all by itself. Why was that and how weird do you find that?

It makes sense to me. If you want a super shiny or not so shiny tear line you need it singled out so you can adjust it by itself. Seems logical to me. :)

I think the OP means that it's mapped on a tile by itself-- where the nails and arms share a map, for example. Not that it's its own zone. I agree that it seems odd. I wasn't doing 3D back then, but I suspect the reason could have been that it used straight shaders without maps since it's a water line basically.

yes, that is what I meant, ChanglingChick I found it odd that it was on its own map, and not sharing the eye map, like the later genesis models. Is this a carry over from vicky4 and her buddies or what?

What brought this up is I was mapping genesis with all white for easy painting in Blender or hexagon if I can't get the maps into Blender

They also didn't have an eye surface (cornea) for Genesis .......which  was weird

There have been one or two products which stretch the tear line to make tears too.
