Crazy New Idea - Environment Pro Bundles

Greetings,

BLUE SKY:

What I'd love to see is 'Environment Pro Bundles'.  Where they have a signature environment, and a whole bunch of features that go with it.  E.g. two different pose sets for locations around the environment, two prop sets for different uses, maybe an appropriate outfit or so to go along with it, and an HDRI set with 2-3 render settings to use for lighting.  It wouldn't have 11 items like character pro bundles, because (I presume) it would cost more to acquire the individual parts, but even at 7-8 items (core environment, 2 pose sets, 2 prop sets, 1-2 outfits, and an HDRI set) it would be a great way to do a big 'theme' without having to release a new character.  It'd still cost the same as a Pro Bundle, but be completely orthogonal to what character you put in it.  You could have the 'Environment Starter Bundle' which has only 1 of each of the extra things, and maybe not the lighting pack, or something...

It'd take some work to find the right balance between how much it costs to get PA's to do it, and how much you can put together, and folks'd need to have the patience to let them experiment, but I think it would be a really awesome idea.

I really like this idea, I can always use new environments.  I've really got too many characters already as it is, but I would love more places to use them.

I've suggested something like this before. I really love it. I wish they'd do it.

Unfortunately for me most enviroments by themselves already cost as much or sometimes more than the character pro bundles. There are some PA created pro bundles though, a few of which are still languishing on my wish list.

I like the idea as long as the vendor that makes it goes easy on the resources. Environments are meant to be backdrops for a scene, so if the environment eats up all the resources there is nothing left for the fully clothed figures and props.

With the exception of an HDRI, many of the Ironman13 environments are pretty much as you describe. Bundles often include poses, suitable props that can be rearranged, even matching clothing that fits into the theme.

Unfortunately the I13 team hasn't been releasing much recently, I believe due to personal issues.

I think an Environment Pro Bundle is a great idea!  Imagine grabbing Stonemason's Streets of Morocco, throw in some baddies in hoods, some Medjai (ala Ardeth Bay below), some 1890s British Aristocrats, a mummy, a monkey and a hawk... and let me go to town!

I'd be down for this. (The 10 free items that are mostly environments is kind of why I'm considering the Mika 8 pro bundle, even though the hair products from the bundle are the only things I really, really want.)
