Why DAZ releases new Genesis figures this rapidly?

DAZ releases New Genesis figures very rapidly. From 2011 to 2017, there is new figure relseased at interval of 2 years. The newest generation is Genesis 8,however it seems that the new figure has little difference with the older generation Genesis 3. It is necessary to relsease a new figure?

I think the new figures are necessary because they use details which weren't available for Genesis 3.

Genesis 8 or not, it's always nice to get new figures.

And what's the point of releasing Genesis 8 with a lot of details if everybody keep on using Genesis 3 figures ?

There is a common misconception that Genesis 3 and Genesisi 8 are virtually "the same". Once you've used both extensively, you realize just how short sighted that thinking is. The facial expressions and definition, alone, make 8 a worthy step forward. Admittedly, I'd like a more Genesis 2-to-Genesis 3 style jump for Gen 9, but what we have now is still notably a step above the previous iteration.

DAZ Studio itself needs many more major enhancements for anyting to that isn't original in some unexpected way like Ollie, Edie, and Sakura were, for DAZ 3D to even make major updates to the way their human models work in DAZ Studio so I guess it's good that Genesis 9 is still 14 months away.
