SY Clothing Morpher for Genesis 8 Female. Product Impressions (Updated)
NOTE: This was originally a post about how I coiuldnt find the manual pdf for the product. Turns out, I simply wasnt paying enough attention (it was 5:30 AM) and the manual was right in front of my face the whole time. So, having found the pdf after one of our forum members pounted out the obvious, I decided to change things up and talk about the prduct itself. Enjoy...
Purchased yesterday. Did anyone else recieve the pdf instructions? I havent found them at all. I dont really care if I get the pdf, I just want to know how to use the supermorphers. I had assumed that the product works similar to hat/hair helper, etc. but I havent had any luck.

It should be here: /People/Genesis 8 Female/Clothing/SY Supermorpher/SYSupermorpherManual.pdf
I think there is also a link in the Documents category of Smart Content.
Yah, nothing for me. Im a manual downloader, there is no pdf in the .zip file.
Edit: I have the link for the pdf, nothing to link to however.
It probably did not get added to the final package by DAZ then.
Have you tried it yet? It is like hat/hair helper right? You apply the clothing item to the supermorpher item and the just dial away yes?
I haven't tried it but that should be how it works.
I use DIM - which uses the same zip file - so here's where it is in the zip: (and, just to b clear - I downloaded the zip manually for this)
Oh jeez! Its right there. OK, thats what I get for file dragging first thing in the morning. Thanks namffuak!
I use manual download, not DIM, and have downloaded the product twice. Including just now. No manual is included in the package under manual download (nor for several of the vendor's other recent products). I've submitted a ticket.
Look at my post above -- the manual is in the zip. Just buried half-a-mile deep.
Also,if you install with DIM, you can right-click on the product entry in DIM and select "Show Installed Files" to get the file list with the full path. If you click on an entry in the file lis, you get an explorer window with the file you clicked on highlighted. - see attached images.
Found it finally. Thanks!
I imagine that Support will get back to me saying that the problem is solved.
User ERROR....
Oh. Yeah.
Haven’t bought this yet but curious, so you apply the supermorpher to your figure then the clothes to the supermorpher?
I havent really had the chance to play with it yet. Ill see if I can dig into it tomorrow.
Working on a couple examples now. Have to do the commute. Back in a couple hours with pics.
Ok, so ive had a chance to look into Sickleyield's new product SY Supermorpher for Genesis 8 Female, https://www.daz3d.com/sy-supermorpher-for-genesis-8-female , and im quite excited about the early results that im getting. I originally got this product because I was wondering what it could do with older generation clothing and current gen models. So heres what I came up with.
I wanted to start with a difficult figure so I chose Lady Alexandra 8, https://www.daz3d.com/alexandra-8 . I fitted her with the Delta Outfit for Genesis 3 Female(s), https://www.daz3d.com/delta-outfit-for-genesis-3-female-s .
I followed SY's instructions (
) and loaded a base G8F into the scene. Then I applied Alexandra 8's FBM from the shape tab. Im assuming that its necessary to load a figure this way because of the morph transfer process but im not certain. Then I loaded the Delta outfit to the model.
Demo_1 shows the Delta dress after being auto-fitted to Alexandra. Notice how the dress has undergone the typical mutilation that alot of older gen clothing goes through with autofit, particularly in the crotch region.
Demo_2 shows the Delta boots after autofit. They actually dont look too bad.
Demo_3 shows Alexandra wearing the SY Supermorpher dress. You apply the supermorpher dress directly to the figure.
After you have applied the supermorpher dress or suit to the figure, you use the transfer utility tool, uncheck some options here, check some options there, its all explained in the manual, and press accept.
Demo_4 shows the Delta dress after the transfer utility does its thing. Please note that after the transfer was complete, there was some substantial clipping going on. Not a problem. All the corrective morphs from the supermorpher dress transfered into Delta dress and all of the clipping was easily fixed. I thought the results were excellent.
Demo_5 shows a repeat of the process for the boots. I used the SY supermorpher suit for this.
Demo_6, the reult.
Demo_7, the finished outfit with pose. Please note that I also used SY Ultra Templates Genesis 8 Female(s), https://www.daz3d.com/sy-ultra-templates-genesis-8-female-s , with the dress.
Next I am going to see what sort of results I get using the supermorphers on a goddess figure.
Awesome thank you, this seems like it will work great with the V4/M4 clones for Genesis 8
Nice. Guess I'll have to add that to my wishlist with high priority. Looks a bit simpler to use for chest and crotch fixes than fit control
Im going to see if the supermorpher outfits play nicely with fit control in a little bit. Im anxious to find out.
Love to see user renders of products to see whether to buy or not... I am certainly interested in the Supermorpher.
Anyone who works with big girl models knows what a major pain it can be to make clothing look good on them.
Demo2_a shows standard G8 with some morphs dialed in. The outfit is Casual Office by OOT. Observe the typical shrinkwrap around the breasts and belly areas.
Demo2_b shows the outfit after the supermorpher transfer. Major improvement.
Demo2_c complete. I think that the improvement in the draping is great. This is with no additional morphs applied to correct the clothing.
As far as I can tell, the two products have no conflict with each other. I applied fit control in the typical manner after applying the supermorph transfer to the clothing and tried several morphs to make sure they worked.
Had the chance to do another quick render. Heres Grandmother HD, https://www.daz3d.com/grandmother-hd-for-genesis-8-female-and-edie-8 , with the 9 To 5 Outfit for Genesis 3 Female(s), https://www.daz3d.com/9-to-5-outfit-for-genesis-3-female-s .
