Looking for hairy 3Delight experiences (Quality/ Render time)

Played around with 3Delight rendering for a while and recognized the different quality of hair shaders/ -presets, mostly the realistic ones render really slow,

but I also saw a few hair pieces which have a nice level of realism and render really fast, even with UE2.

Others render fast with native lights, but when it comes to render with UE2, the render times increase drastically (I'm aware, that I can switch off raytracing when it's ubersurface shaded).

The estal hair e.g. looks nice (imo) and renders in a few minutes (high quality UE2 and render settings).

I'm interested in your experiences, favorite 3Delight hair pieces (realism AND fast rendering) or also products for 3Delight hair shading of existing geometries (like these for Iray).

Thanks in advance

depends on your scene your lookiing for

I rendered these in 3delight using the  american-bison & the Macix 101 3dl skydome.   I also unsed eashs grass props and a Snow ground prop I bought at another site

Took about 20 minutes each scene  to render just using  the skydomes UE2 light presets . Its helps to turn the shadows off under the display tab on the LAMH preset to speed up the render.   hair shadows sometimes takes a long time to render when using UE lights, so I try click the hair props shadows off in 3Dl to see if that speed things up, you'll hardly even noticable unless its close up renders
