what happened to the DS cr2 export?

trying to make lean base characters from dialed genesis 3/8 characters for animation.

it goes thru the motions of exporting, and exp files.  but geometry doesn't make it out alive.

    Post the details of what you are doing step for step.

    WHat does the geometry look like if it is manually imported back in to DS?

    basically, just the eyes come over. that's about it.  

    cr2 export not working for g2m either.

    thought mebbe g3/8 has too many bones.

    Are you using willdial's script?  AFAIK, that's the only way to get G3/8 into a poser format.  There's a long webinar over at Smith Micro that I haven't watched yet, but I notice that one of the main headings is "Why don’t I see G3 or her clothes?"

    idea was to make lean character cr2 to use in carrara animation.

    export to cr2 seemed the easiest way to do that.
    inj only the morphs i needed.
    but alas, cr2 doesn't work.  didn't work in 4.8, went thru all the trouble of installing 4.10

    for elfmages in hooded cloaks, dont need the whole figure, just the bits that would show, like hands and faces


    dont want to sacrifice quality in the rendering.

    was surprised at how fast the luxury yacht rendered smiley  gave me hope.
     

    did a few tests on characters and their clothes, minimizing morphs made a hugh memory impact. 
    and the ryzen 8 core helped.
