Is "The Freak" identic to Freak3?

I have a figure which needs Freak3 as basis, but can't find Freak3 in DAZ Store. Just Freak and Freak4 ...

    Wait; your post just confused me.  You can't find Freak3 but you can only find Freak and Freak3?

    *Nevermind, I had it backwards, you found the Freak but not Freak 3, which is what I am seeing as well.

    Is he part of the starter essentials that come with Studio now or anything? I'm sure I got him years ago but don't see him in my product list. Will check my library in a bit.

    List the Freak 3 as the compatible product but no link to it, which is what happens with things like Genesis 8 Male since it is part of the essentials pack.

    It does look like products that require "The Freak 3" are made for the stand alone figure "The Freak"

    Yes, they are the same. The FREAK, The GIRL and David didn't have the number associated with them when released, but are part of the Millennium Generation 3. There had not been any previous characters with those names (unlike, say, Aiko and Stephanie), so they were unique, but the 3 became synonymous with them as Generation 4 started. It took a lot longer in those days to get new base characters out, so there was a lot of overlap.

    Yeah I was thinking (remembering, or misremembering) that "The Freak 3" was what people started calling him around when The Freak 4 came out, or at least when Michael 4 came out. But looking in the store today I was confused by "official" store listings referring to the Freak 3.

    That was confusing me as well. So I need Freak ... or does clothing for Freak  work with a Freak3 Clone for Genesis?
