It is a Magento problem. What seems to be happening when we use a coupon is that the cart first portions the coupon value out among all qualifying cart items (instead of deducting it from the subtotal), then looks for should-be-free items and reduces their price. Anything in the cart that's both qualifying for the coupon and qualifying for free will eat up part of the coupon value.

Yes, that was my analysis too. Fixing that would mean changing how the coupons and rules are applied, which means modifying the store engine itself.

i see the 50% of Edie and someone else, but my mixes surely don;t seem to come out the same. they still look more like Edie.

I use several different morphs, a lot, so maybe they overpower Edie a bit, but 50% of her is definitely still there!

well 3 characters at 50% means Edie is 33% of the mix:)

Or 16.5% of the total look, technically, I think, since 50% of each applied morph is complimented by 50% G8F base.

I mean Edie's slider was at 50% and then a lot of little tweaks from both other characters and morph kits. The predominant character was Edie, no other predominant morph like they showed in the promos where it was mostly V8 or another character, with a small amount of Edie.

@MollyTabby Nice work. That's one of the few figures I ended up putting on the wishlist. She's very cute.

@carrie58 That's adorable. I'll have to try that mix. Very nice.

So, Carrie58, did you use the transfer tools to move Toon Generations up to G8? Or move Edie down to G3?

    I moved toonGen2 to G8 using SingularBlues script and it's 100% Edie8 and 50% ToonGen2 ,and age at 32 ,both dialed in

yeah but Redz's PDF to manually transfer the morphs is still available there is a link on page 4 of the "Morphs from Gen3 to Gen8 thread

I think I've got that one. There were a number of Toon morphs for G3M which weren't duplicted for G3F, let alone G8.

That's one of the things I miss about G1. All the morphs worked pretty much all the time. On any gender.

Well, four characters, if that is how you want to calculate, it does not give 16.5%. Whilst the base influences the final shape - G2, G3 etc, it is fixed, and is the starting point, so other than stating the base, which can be taken as implied (as a rule), I wouldn't count it, despite there being an influence.

It is important to know the percentage they were mixed in at; or the percentage of the whole each character supplied. For folks wanting to recreate the look, they need to know one or the other, and often both. :)

I'd highly recommend contacting support first if your membership status doesn't change back in an hour or so, it seems like they are having ongoing issues with certain store pages not recognized when people are logged in.

I have three on going tickets and the store pages issue is fixed by adding a '/' to the end of the URL ;-)

I still had a coupon to use this month and I'm running out of time.  Being overcharged, PC+ coupons not working correctly, and then support breaking my account whilst trying to fix these issues has almost made me ready to shelve Daz 3D and invest more time in Blender...

Apparently that "losing the PC+ membership" glitch can happen pretty easily when they adjust things for people. When they adjusted me to PA status it caused me to lose my PC+ membership (even though PAs are supposed to get free PC+ memberships). I contacted the Daz people and they got it straightened out, but apparently, that happens really easily - I'm sure once you contact them and let them know they'll fix it.

I have reopended the original tickets about being overcharged by $54, the second ticket about the PC+ coupon not working (refunded but told not to use with freebies in the future), as fixing these caused the issues, and I have a new ticket specifically concerning the PC+ membership which was logged almost 12 hours ago... I think they have had ample opportunity.  I have never had an with support in the past but these last few days have pushed me to the end of my tether.

The ticket that was logged 12 hours ago probably won't be able to be addressed until Monday (I don't think they have people that can be on those tickets on the weekends - I think the team that works on that has the weekend off).

But, it's completely understandable that you're pushed to the end of your tether. It sounds like it was kind of a mess to deal with. I hope you give them the benefit of the doubt and time to work it out. I've had quite a few times I've worked with customer service and they've always "made things right". :)

I am glad you got the original problems fixed and I am sure customer sevice will also fix your problem with the lost PC+ status. Even though I have been very frustrated with DAZ sometimes, I have always found their customer service to be excellent. However, as Diva has said they generally do not work on weekends so it will probably be Monday before they see your ticket and can respond.

I tried doing pictures of Ollie when I first got him, but my computer kept crashing while rendering. Did this Tuesday night, left it to render when I went to bed and am finally getting this posted. I really like these characters as they are, the blending with others is a wonderful bonus. Really like everything in their bundles and the add-ons that came out the same day, but wasn't able to get more than 2 or 3 add-ons each due to spending so much during the last part of March Madness.

Apparently that "losing the PC+ membership" glitch can happen pretty easily when they adjust things for people.

Is that still going on? I thought it had been fixed more than a year ago — after the switchover to Magento, there was a constant problem of PC+ members losing their status whenever they were given a refund. I could never figure out why Support never automatically checked to see if whatever they'd just done for someone had also borked their membership.

Bingo, if it's a known issue support shouldn't fob you off, and then scold you for using a coupon. As a systems analyst I can see the software is the issue butat least that's an easy fix... expensive but easy.

Edie is a fantastic character. I bought the Edie Pro bundle, which is a first for me, buying a pro bundle. I'd stopped buying DAZ products since G8 was released , and Monique 8 is the only G8 character I have (and only because of a huge discount). I've tended to work with V4/M4 and build my own materials out of sheer boredom with the offerings since G2.

A couple of questions. What is a good subD level to use? I see it goes to 5, but my machine crawls.

Second Q involves applying MDL face materials to Edie. Normally I would see these in my texture-shaded viewport, but I don't. I have to switch to the NVidia viewport and then I see them. Is this some G8 shader thing I have missed because I haven't used G8?

    Thanks.

I set the render subd as high as it needs; start lower and test; some products tell you what you need though.
