Hmm... after a bit of playing around with different character mixes, does the Edie base texture have a no-brows option? I can't seem to find one.
Setting "Edie 8 Face 02" gives a no-brow option.
The product page states there are "02 Brow/No Brow Presets"
You're right!! Just straight Edie 8 at 50% is super cute! :) Nice!
You inspired me to try just Edie 8 at 50% and a couple of minor tweaks:
I think she's pretty cute (even though the lighting isn't the most flattering lol). :)
marble - I was going to ask if mixing Edie 8 with the toons would work, some of the G3 characters are compatable with G8 - or at least I thought so. I culd get real excited about that.
Got it, thanks. And... I just realised I have three or four other eyebrows, plus a couple more G8M ones I could convert. Wheee!
Okay, I'm a little late to the Edie 8 party, but here is my first render. This is using Dora for Edie 8. With her paler skin, I think she'll do great for something a little more gothic. I like her morph though.
Very nice, Knittingmommy!
Welcome to the Edie 8 party!
Is that background an HDRI, a backdrop, or post work?
@DivaMakeup Thanks. Better late than never. It's probably going to be the only render I manage to get done until next week.
That's a stock image in the background that I did a little post work on to fit my lighting a little better. I rendered Dora on a transparent background to make it easier and quicker for me and then I layered her with the background and did the vignette and other post work on the combined layer. With everything I have going on this month, I just didn't have time to set up a whole scene for her. I kind of just did a quick setup with the lights and did everything else in Gimp. I am looking forward to doing some full-out scenes with her and Ollie 8, but it will have to wait until the end of April.
Britney just points me to the pc+ page and says it's correct (and closed the request). Richard, please can you get someone to look at Request #270104?

My first time playing with Edie... Edie and Alexandra mix with Edie small nose, Pear and Heavy body shapes, and some of Zev's Aging morphs. Skin is Raiya's Saphire for G3F.
Very nice, Cybersox.
Looks like it is a lot of fun, mixing Edie 8 with the other characters.
I purchased Edie because she's so unique compared to the usual pretty girls or buff guys that are for sale. I like pretty girls and buff guys, but I have plenty of them, so something different is definitely appreciated. I love her outfits and the different characters available for her. I want to play with mixing her with Alexandra 8 and see what kind of "mature" ladies I can get. Edie has a magical fairy tale essence. I am looking forward to using Edie in my renders!
I responded earlier to you previous post about the results of your ticket. So you don't have to go looking for it, here's my reply:
I'm truly sorry this happened to you. Many of us who have been around for a long while have simply made it a habit to not use the coupon on carts with free items in them, in part to make life easier for the Customer Service folks, and in part because it is a hassle to file a ticket. But with this policy change, we will all need to be diligent and save our coupons for carts without free products.
That's not really cool to pay for PC+ membership and and have a business promise to give $6 off on special products as part of the membership and then not give then $6 off. The free is already $0. DAZ 3D needs to fix that. It's all good and fine to give refunds before they manage to fix it but it's not going to look good to not fix the problem.
Given the number of years that problem has been there and what seems to be the new policy, I don't think DAZ can actually fix it.
If you were charged $106 on a $53 cart, that sounds a lot more serious error than losing part of a $6 coupon.
The new policy doesnt mention that.
It can be fixed. At the very least if they don't want to spend resources on fixing it or refunding the overcharges then they need to put a big red warning on each of the checkout pages that items that cost $0 in the cart will cause some of the $6 coupon amount to be lost.
I've been overcharged by more the $200 and $400 in the last 1 1/2 year so their cart problems are nothing new.
No, that isn't about a policy change, but an issue with the site software. It happens most frequently when the store is changing over from one day's sale to the next. Although some folks have experienced issues at other times of the day. There will be no problem for rayglendenning to get a refund of the overcharge.
This is Dottie in contemporary clothing. No mixing, morphs or changes to the figure. She has a lovely choice of makeup options but I kept it to simply lips and nails.
1. Head and shoulders
2. Full figure pose

Edited to put higher quality 2nd image.

DAZ uses a packaged e-commerce solution (Magento) as the basis of the store. My guess is that the problem comes from the store software itself and so a fix would need to come from the publisher and not DAZ.
Adding a warning to the product page should be doable though.
not having the $6 apply or you lose some with $0 items in the cart is a sure way to make you not use it and wait and use it on more stuff. It really ticks me off. I or anybody shouldn;t have to file a ticket to get a refund. it should just work. perhaps issue another $6 coupon that takes $6 off any purchase that contains a $0 item as long as you still have your PC+ coupon valid. then tha tone and the PC+ coupon are marked used.
It is a Magento problem. What seems to be happening when we use a coupon is that the cart first portions the coupon value out among all qualifying cart items (instead of deducting it from the subtotal), then looks for should-be-free items and reduces their price. Anything in the cart that's both qualifying for the coupon and qualifying for free will eat up part of the coupon value. Looks like DAZ has finally given up on fixing this bug as an impossible (or at least impractical) job.

Edie8mixed with 50%ToonGen2
well 3 characters at 50% means Edie is 33% of the mix:)
Displacement is the first thing worth removing; whilst it can add something, it is very resource-intensive.
So, Carrie58, did you use the transfer tools to move Toon Generations up to G8? Or move Edie down to G3?
Or 16.5% of the total look, technically, I think, since 50% of each applied morph is complimented by 50% G8F base.
Thank you very much :)
