    Those were exactly my feelings when I saw her. An old woman, automatically portrayed as a hag and a creature of fantasy (as if old women don't exist in reality!). I like her a lot and will probably end up buying her at some point, but I'm just not wildly keen on what's been done with her. It's reminds me of when Monique 6 was portrayed as a voodoo queen when she was launched.

    Check out Dorothea in the bundle and Grandmother HD in the add-ons. They look pretty normal... Just like you could add just a bit of Ollie and make him look like a normal guy.

    I try not to waste my time getting offended about things. Firstly, I'd never get anything done ;). Secondly, in the end, one can do whatever one wants with the figure, so in the long run none of it matters. Thirdly, fundamentally none of this has much to do with my life (other than the hobby), so I try not to sweat it too much (don't always succeed, but then I don't always succeed in much....lol).

    They just give store credit (or money back to your account if you specify that) and then you can get whatever you want. smiley

    II actually thought Moni 6 was Jamacian to be honest and it was a theme like most characters released and I like themes and like Wonderland said Edie had other options too

    If I gave the impression I was offended by the way Edie has been portrayed (old woman = hag) then I let the wrong words out to play :) It just didn't go unnoticed here.

    big big download though I did add two free bundles too Callie6 +Izabella7 + Grandmother and Etta  all combined around 4.4 gb probably be awhile till play with her but got lots of ideas

    Well, I look at it this way....there are a lot more average-looking (and can I even say unattractive?) people in the world than runway model pretty ;). Characters like Ollie and Edie, though caricatures, add back in the "averageness" that is most of humanity. I like that :). It's new for Daz and, I think, refreshing...lol. Maybe that's the reason I feel I've gotta have all the Josh Crockett monsters. It's a balance to all the sugary, pretty sweetness of most of the Daz line :P. LOL

    Besides, the very connotation of caricature is "exaggeration", so it's no surprise to me that that lends itself to things like hags, witches, etc.

    I have the exact opposite feeling. I don't see any caricature or object of humor at all when I look at Edie, but as a great figure to make all those caricatures of supermodels into some real life females. When I walk around town I guess I see many more females who look a Edie-ish a bit compared to very few that would remind me of all the other female figures being released usually...

    And Dora  instantly made me think of doing a Queen Elisabeth render... or maybe rather one of her sister, Princess Margeret.. y'know, that partygirl...

    So, what is the price of the Pro Bundle with the 20% Special Discount applied? I'm seeing $66.13. Correct or is it still not working?

    I bought the pro bundle before I realized I was supposed to get an additional discount. I'm not sure if it applied or not. Hopefully someone who has better math skills than I can let us know what the price in the cart should be.

    What on earth are you talking about? You're not getting the figure BECAUSE it comes with the HD? Why? Just don't download it if you don't want it... Passing on a figure because it comes with the HD makes like zero sense. 

    Especially since, with a character like Edie, the HD is probably good for bringing out details like small wrinkles for head & shoulder close up shots.

    My original price $66.13.  -20%= $52.90.  Then add the addtional 30% off for purchasing 2 addons and $37.03 should be the total for the pro bundle alone.

    I'm not sure if mine's working or not. I've added more than two of the addons and get the PC discount. Right now in my cart she is 46 dollars and change (pro bundle).

    And if you subtract $6 with the Plat Club discount it's $31.03. But THAT hasn't worked with new character releases for some time now.

    What hair does Edie have in the Etta addon?  The long white hair with braids and doo dahs, where she has green skin and is the promo image in the Addon section.I didn't see it in the notes for Etta.

    Also, what is the leaf necklace in the promo image for the pro bumdle and the Fantasy Woodland Hair?
