What on earth are you talking about? You're not getting the figure BECAUSE it comes with the HD? Why? Just don't download it if you don't want it... Passing on a figure because it comes with the HD makes like zero sense.
I'm with you on this. I'm on a diet already, so instead I've stopped buying things for myself ... new clothes, books, notebooks, fancy pens ... all so not needed when I'm spending so much time playing with Daz Studio.
My clothes are getting rather baggy on me with the diet, but what the heck! lol.
Damn, why did I get the Penny Pro Bundle? The Edie Bundle definitely has a lot more to offer in terms of figure morphs, hair, cloth etc. - And of course it is another "pick other bundles for free" offer which does not hold much for me as I do have all of them. Thankfully there seems to be a banner for users who do already have all or most of the Gen8-Bundles. But that banner does not seem to work currently? At least all I see is the 51% discount plus the 30% if you buy together with two add-ons. Anybody can confirm?
nicely varied bundle but most likely will just get Edie herself for mixing with other characters as I did with Ollie.
I confirm that the extra reduction (EXTRA 20% OFF expiring on May 8th) does not work for me either. The pro bundle costs $66.13 once in the cart...

The render that was lost when Daz crashed was much better, but since that one took so long to render I thought I'd do something different with this one.

Should have known another new bundle was due out as there were good deals on yesterday. I had an inkling, but I counted on something I could pass up.
Couldn't have been worse, I've developped a habit of collecting quirky or older females, and Edie is both.....and now I'm regreting passing on Ollie....
I think I'm on beans and lentil soup for the summer....

Okay. But I'm curious. What is the reason for not wanting the HD Addon? Does it cause issues with the figure? Issues with Daz itself? (Should I be rethinking my choices about buying the HD Addons?)
OMG! I love love love Edie! Definitely getting the pro bundle . Problem is I have so many of the Genesis 3 characters, I don't know what free bundles to get anymore. I wish they were including the men..

I wish they included other bundles like they did one time, like the nerd or restaurant bundle... I own all the bundles except maybe one or two items from a few...
I love what you've done with the morph mixing, @Divamakeup - I'm just waiting on the green banner to apply and give me the promised extra discount. She's a very versitle character and it's good to see how she works with other characters. I'm adding Charlotte 8 to my wishlist

You know what? I'm willing to overlook my usual gripes, because WOW. After years of Thorne-esque sameface faes, Edie 8 completely blows my mind in a good way. Love, love, LOVE that she looks like Ollie and that she looks completely different from every Genesis 8 female that's come before. I love her!! She almost evokes memories of Paul Kidby's take on Magrat from the Discworld books. So refereshing to see an unconventional female character for a change, ohhhhh wow!!
Her items in the pro bundle are really well done, too!
I get paid on Friday, so coupled with the 2 free pro bundles and the green discount banner, I may just have to splurge on this beauty.

I guess I feel weird about Edie. It seems strange to me that the first truly older female base is sort of a caricature and portrayed as an object of humor. I doubt it’s intended to be intentionally awkward but it seems a bit... uncomfortable to me.
she comes with the usual fantasy fairy stuff that is popularity lots of Daz users but I think I’ll pass.
actually there were not just g3f bundles on offer for free there was/is also g2f bundles under that section and under the g2f there are other older bundles/content including super hero bundle (v/m4), super physical bundle (m/v4) victoria 4 3d model pro suite, v4 hero pro pack, victoria 5 pro and more
gotta question bought Edie 8 Pro and two addons which says gives extra 30% off pro brought Pro down to about $46 but now got a banner for extra 20% off for buying so many Pro Bundles just wondering those that can work out understand these things did I get that extra off prier to the notice
Those were exactly my feelings when I saw her. An old woman, automatically portrayed as a hag and a creature of fantasy (as if old women don't exist in reality!). I like her a lot and will probably end up buying her at some point, but I'm just not wildly keen on what's been done with her. It's reminds me of when Monique 6 was portrayed as a voodoo queen when she was launched.

that is actually how I'm pretty much going now with a lot of stuff but it is a chance to being a completest even if if it's a couple of items free is free and get few and fills gaps
Mmmmh, I wouldn't compare this to something that was racially insensitive, but I do see where you're coming from. I, personally, didn't get that vibe with Edie. From what I can see, they portray her in several promos/items as being no less beautiful than, say, Victoria 8. And frankly, having a less-than-supermodel perfect female, even if she's stylized, is a step in the right direction IMHO, especially since she still has the "uglycute"-ness of her male counterpart in Ollie. Not to mention they show on her promo page how you can blend her with other characters as well.
Maybe somewhere down the line, they'll release official "older" characters, I dunno.
