Just had a very interesting scroll banner ad popup on the main store page, advertising Edie 8 but as soon as I logged into the site it vanished.. What is interesting though is that she looks to be the female counterpart to Ollie 8..

Oh good. We needed one of those. I'm looking forward to getting some additional facial feature morphs. Ollie brought some excellent additions to the table.
Yup pretty much now a case of wait and see when she arrives.. :) Which if I would hazard a really big guess will be today at the next store update..

The pro bundle is in my cart now. I RARELY buy the pro bundles but I like nearly everything in Edie's bundle this time. Just trying to decide which add-ons I want to add to the cart to bring it to that super nice discount!
Wow, 2nd lady in a row. Good to see the 2 free pro bundles are back as extras. Edie looks interesting. She looks more like a sister to Ollie then a lady for coupling.

She's wonderful! Just what I was hoping for. And the addon characters do a good job of covering a lot of different bases. Young, old, evil, rather sweet, all sorts of directions to take with her.
Interesting that with Ollie we got gnomes and goblins, whereas with Edie we get a wider range of ages. I'd have appreciated an old geezer addon for Ollie.
I'd be happier if there was anything left in the older Pro Bundles that I want, but Edie herself is wonderful.
Heh! I tucked the last two bundles into the cart for now. I don't think there are more than 4-5 items in the two of them together that I don't have. Mainly because I couldn't see any use for them. But, hey, free.
I have to remark, Daz is showing that they can release unique beings that are not Super Model Runway! I applaude them for such a different approuch. Looking back at the past. Oliie and Edie are totally new type styles in the Daz Gene Pool! A+++++
Sigh, still not an asian female. I guess she looks ok but going to let this one pass. Though she would be nice i guess to do some sort of 4 generation type of thing. Eddie 8, Alexandra 8, Victoria 8 and Teen josie 8
But i will wait some user renders before passing judgement. But my first impression is that im not over excited on this one... Dorothea looks nice but 1 character is not validating a pro pack...
Dang I died seeing the releases today. I can't remember the last time a character bundle was so awesome! And the add-ons---- dang the PAs nailed it.
unfortunately I'm still tapped out from Ollie *cries*
Edie is just fantastic. The PAs took her in so many creative directions from grandmother to fae to peasant to witch to elegant older woman, mature beauty, inspiring muse, fairy tale, enchantress.... Seriously, there isn't a single thing in today's releases that i DON'T want. And I want the deer from yesterday too.... Really really an exceptional job by everyone for a very, very tantalizing bundle!!!!
I was up all night due to health problems and finished work for today so gonna go get a nap before making some dinner. I'm probably going to dream up edie stuff. Really AMAZING. Daz, please keep it up and I won't eat for a few months to buy this and whatever's next. :) Oh and Ollie says thanks, too, I'm sure ;) And i needed to loose a few pounds- Daz is good for my diet. LOL. Anyone else think so too???
Some generations are rich in Toons and other stylized characters, while others aren't. It's a fairly recent paradigm, since before Genesis, apart from Aiko, Hiro, the Girl, and the Freak, just about every remotely Toon figure available was a 3rd-party standalone.
Once Genesis was on the ground we suddenly got Genesis versions of a number of 3rd-party standalone successes. 3DU's Sam and Sadie, Smay's Mavka, and Nata. Plus a whole slew of new ones.
G2 had a few, but nowhere near as many. However, G3 suddenly had a whole bunch of Toony morphs to mix in. The more exaggerated ones were mostly male, but Toon Generations 2 had female counterparts.
Ollie and Edie are quite different from nearly all of the earlier ones. They definitely bring something to the table that was lacking.
My first thought was, they gave her Ollie's nose.
Not that I'm complaining. When I first saw Ollie, I was so totally unimpressed. Until I saw what people are doing with combining him with other characters. So I bought the Pro bundle. And when I saw Edie in the banner, I said a very bad word, because there is no way I'm not getting her, Pro bundle and all! But I so want to make my store credit last through the end of May. (Not looking good, at this point!)
Edie's pro bundle is a whole lot of awesome! I'm really liking pretty much everything there!

I had a really nice render at 100% and when I went to save it Daz crashed. Kind of mad. The Crashing issues lately have been really a pain in the tush.
