Hurdy3DHurdy3D Posts: 1,073

Hey,

I got today City Bike (https://www.daz3d.com/city-bike-and-poses). Perhaps I am a little bit blind, but  I cant find the morphs. I checked also the hidden properties, but there is nothing? Any idea

Thanks

It actually doesn't say it has morphs.   If yoou are talking about styllisng the bike itself, it has poses to do that.

If it is the one I am thinking of, I believe it used some geometry switching. The rest of the posing options listed may be actual figure parts rather than morphs, which is easier to use anyway I think. Will have to check tonight if no one else confirms before then.

The bike has a male and female option to remove the bar. It’s available when you click it in the parameters I think.  I’m not at my computer to tell you where. It parents to the character and there are poses for riding it.

I checked the Paramters and Pose tabs. The sliders from the screenshot above are missing. I also checked the different nodes of the bike for those sliders. Nothing.

I attach two screenshots. Both show that there are no morphs or poses to change the bike

Did you try selecting 'Frame' rather than City Bike?

What happens if you click on City Bike in the parameter tab?rather then clicking on transforms? Have you tried reinstalling it?

Sure, I checked every single node on the bike wink

I am on the parameters tab. I think you mean I should click in the Prameters Tab instead of Transforms on City Bike or All... But there is still nothing wink

I’ll tell you where when I get home tonight. I don’t have access to my computer at present.

    Ok... I figured it out.
I installed it with DAZ Install Manager. If I instlal it via Smart Content the moprhs are in the parameters tab.

This is reproducable, seems to be a bug.

I had a similar problem with Monsters in My Cupboard when I tried to install it with Install Manager: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/245996/monsters-in-my-cupboard-missing-files-partially-solved/p1

I wonder what is causing the problems with using DIM

I installed it via DIM and the morph is there for me.

Thanks for buying the City Bike! I'm glad it finally works. :)

That's strange. I should not make any difference if you download it manually, use DIM or Smart Content.

I usually install everything via DIM and had no such issue so far.

Maye something with you DIM is not OK. Hmm...

For the City Bike you find the controls at Parameters/Pose Controls or in the Posing Tab.

Depending on what part of the Bike you select, the corresponding controls are there. For the Male Frame morph it's the root figure and the Frame bone.

In your DAZ library folder you should find these files after installation (see attached Image). These are all the controls.

If you want to send a support ticket to DAZ you might want to check if DIM installs these files or not.

You can test that by creating a new Directory somewhere, add that to your Directories in DIM, select it as installation path and install the City Bike to that location with DIM.

Than you just have that single package in that directory and can check what it contains easily.

If you have questions about that feel free to contact me directly or here... I'll keep an eye on that thread now...

    Kind regards, Eagle99

    Hey eagle,

I think something is wrong with my DIM. I figured out that many products missed some morphs (hair, clothes). I reinstalled everything via smart connection, which fixed this issue.

Mybe it is releated to my custom DIM install dir.

It is defenitly not an issue with your product.

That would have been a real surprise if there is an issue like this with the product that pops up 8 month after release... ;-)

I have several directories set up in my DIM.

I once wanted to reorganize my stuff so I have things like the essentials and my products in seperate dirs so I can work just with these in DS.

I uninstalled everything via DIM and re-installed to different dirs than. Worked very well.

Maybe you should re-install DIM itself.

    Kind regards, Eagle99
