I'm Confused About Something...?

I got the free Freak4 Bundle and started downloading the items when I came across the Mafiosa suit. On the items product page it claims to be compatible on M4 H4 and Freak4 (assuming compatible means it will fit)...
If it does fit those three characters, why would I need the unimesh item that makes the same claim with the added M4 Elite.
Kinda has me wondering about the other unimesh items I have acquired over time.

Unimesh are only relevant for the older (non-Genesis) figures, since these do not automatically apply any morph to the clothing in the way Genesis figures do using auto follow. The Unimesh fits add a bunch more morphs to the clothing to allow you to fit the items to figures like F4, A4, S4 and a number of other popular morphs that were not included in the clothing item when it was first released.
If, like me, you only use the Gen 4 and earlier clothing to auto fit onto a Genesis figure (1,2,3 or 8), then the unimesh products are completely irrelevant and a waste of money (if not free). However if you still use the older figures, then the extra fits add more flexibility to the clothing.
Actually I use all the figures all the way back to V2. Even though I have them all, I mostly only use Gen4 and G2 and the others I play with when bored. This is partly due to not being able to afford all the morph packs needed for each generation. Was really happy to see the creature morphs and such for V4 included in that bundle, they were on my wishlist.
Guess I will have to see about getting the unimesh for some of the items I have so they fit the model I want to use in a given render.
Thanks for your help Havos.
The unimesh versions of outfits in the PC collection usually include an extra texture set. But, whatever.
The Unimesh version has custom morphs to match the additional characters and/or morph sets. In DS (and recent version sof Poser) you don't absolutely need those, though they should be better than the automatic versions.
Not a huge fan of autofit thanks to the problem with fitting to the chest and the mess between legs on skirts and dresses. Other then that, if it does not autofit right, I find other ways to get things to fit, patience has lots of tuts on that and they have been very helpful.
Thank you both for your input.
