I wake up to see THIS exciting sale:

So i quickly add 4 things to cart, and get ready to check out-been wanting these for a while and bob hair is FINALLY out of "new" and on part of the sale- insta buy right!!!!!????? Not to mention a nice hair from KOOL.... except as I get ready to check out.... gulp....

Yeah, the sale prices went off as i was checking out. Panicked, i check front page... banner still says the flash sale...

Never says when they end though. You'd think the banner would turn off if the sale was over though.

Way to kill my day and my sale, daz. Emptied cart, want to cry. :(

Thet's weird, the sales page is still showing the discounted price, but the cart no longer counts these items as discounted. :(

    Daz-midnight changeover madness. :)

Actually, PC item discounts aren't showing either!

Edit: Now PC items are back.  I guess we missed the sale :(

  • Well the front page STILL has the banner up even after i refreshed/loaded a new page so..... i bought it anyway and am asking daz for a refund on the difference in price. Because that was just too painful. And i need the hair for promos. I have like two hair styles, period, for G8.

  • *whines* Still nothing I really want, other than Molly HD. *whines some more*
  • i totally love the new boggles poses tho... i gotta do more boggles stuff :)

If the sale was still in effect when you posted here, you could contact customer service and show that your timestamps to Daz.

Yeah I have had this happen from time to time.  Add items to cart that are on sale, go to pay and suddenly the sale price is gone.  Oh well.  Guess DAZ doesn't need my money.

  • Cris, i'm not sure how to show timestamps? I did however show the screen shots in the ticket I sent to customer service. how does one see or find time stamps?

Flash sales use to end at midnight DAZ time. I checked out a few minutes before, and it worked OK.

  • The rare times this happens to me on a normal sale, I just go back a page and try again maybe even a couple times until the system wakes up and gives me the correct price. I don't checkout unless I get the price, and it always seems to eventually work. I also don't buy anything at the times in the wee hours Mountain time when prices change.

This has been happening a LOT lately, where the sale is still advertisedbutwhen you put stuff in your cart, no sale prices. VERY annoying.

FYI for those not in the know:

Daz Midnight (when the sales start changing over, Mountain Time US) is currently 6AM GMT.  If your current location doesn't do Daylight Savings Time, this can shift an hour for around six months of the year...

Of course, it can take up to a half hour or more for the new sales to get settled in.  So it's often best to check around say 1 AM Daz Time for the new sales (if you are awake and at your computer at that time).  Flash sales just show up whenever...

Also, when glitches in sales pop up, it can take a few hours for the glitches to get resolved (sometimes they don't get resolved).  The flip side of this is that occasionally some things go on sale for a higher discount early on, but if the higher discount wasn't intended, a correction may be incoming.  The latter hasn't happened much lately, but it's something to keep in mind if you are trying to stretch your Daz dollars...

So there's arguments both ways as to whether to buy early or late in the Daz day.  Late in the day seems to be better, as a flash sale may pop up, but sometimes there's merit in striking early, as things may change...

Generally the sales end at DAZ midnight (MDT) but it takes time for the store pages to update and generally the banner doesn't change over until 30 to 40 minutes later.

You know that G3 hair styles work just fine on G8 right?

Probably because the pages the banners link to have to be updated first, but it would make sense at least removing those banners that are no longer relevant, before doing anything else. Should only take a couple of seconds.
