The Audacious Outfit

This was the only thing I bought from the Penny 8 bundle and having been quite critical of the rest of it, I just wanted to say how pleased I am with Audacious. At last, something for the characters of a more modestly dressed era who still wanted to look attractive. There are material zones for all the bits that matter - the blouse has buttons, collar, cuffs, shirt and sleeves, and the skirt has skirt and waistband. There are more on the sandals too, but I didn't mess with those as I was too interested in the skirt and blouse. Instead of taking advantage of the separate zones this time, I lost the belt and gave it a single material all over so that it looked more like a dress than a two-piece. The skirt bunched up a bit at the bottom where it caught the knee during simulation, but that's more down to the pose than the outfit. I put it on Anastasia, then got to wondering how it would look on someone who wasn't quite as short and willowy. Most plumper people do make some sort of effort to dress in a way that flatters their lumps and bumps, but I find it a bit of a struggle to find anything in the store that doesn't seem designed to emphasise them. So I made Anastasia shorter and fatter, and Dforce bunching aside, I quite like the result.
Thanks for this one, Daz. I can see me getting a lot of use out of it. I'd love to see what others do with it too.

Try turning the Self-Collide in surfaces off and see if that helps.
Very nice
Looks almost exactly like the shirtwaist dresses my mother wore all though the '50s.
What is with the names they give these outfits? Audacious? Seriously?
Sorry, but I think it looks like a hotel maid's uniform... (Feeling a bit Simon Cowell-ish today LOL)
Go for it :) To be honest, at one point I thought it could be made to look like a 'forties nurses uniform without too much effort. All she'd be short of then would be an opportunity to bump into a sailor in Times Square :)
Actually, it's *very* similar to the G1 '50s waitress outfit from the PC+ collection (and one of my more frequently used outfits). Only this one is set up for dForce, and built for G8. Given that G1 came out in something like 2011 I'm very glad to get an update.
She needs a pair of canvas tennis shoes with low socks to go with this dress ;). Or saddle shoes. LOL

This outfit does not seemed to be like it's name. neither bold or disrespectful. Weird how they come up with names for these products.
I think my grandmother had that dress.
