Lauren Genesis 8 Eye Rendering Issues
in The Commons
Newby here, but when I render my image using the Lauren model, the eyes just straight out don't show up. I have seen troubleshooting for rendering issues, but none where they eyes just aren't there. Has anyone had a similar issue? Or have any insight on how to fix it? I don't have any problems rendering from the Genesis 8 base packs.

Do the eyes show if you enable Darw Dome in Render Settings' Editor tab, under the Environment group? If so, select the eye surfaces and turn the SSS Mode from Chromatic to Mono.
The eyes show until I start the render. Then they disappear in the render pane as the image processes.
I'm a little confused, why does Chromatic eyes not work for all? Far as I know I have the latest studio (according to info it's the version 4.10.0.123 ) but I can't seem to render chromatic eyes, they just disapear the same way it does for krjauthor here. It does work when I switch the shaders to Mono though ( and Big thanks to Darwin for making it easier to switch with a button with Liam, also works on Christian and I assume on other characters as well)
Is there something special that is needed to be able to render chromatic?
you'll need to have "draw dome" enabled in the render environment settings. It's pretty darn annoying.
The environment settings do need the draw dome and a map attached to the environment, yes, to avoid the white out/artifacts of the eye area with the Chromatic shader system. The switch to mono material option used in my character sets will work on any G8 figure (male or female) without changing the maps to avoid that issue. If the eyes look to yellow, swith the scleara colors in the diffuse, translucency and translucency tints to a very light blue to counteract that if need be. :)
Thank you DisparateDreamer and Dar, will keep the draw dome active next time. Well, next time I'm not doing a picture where I don't mind having the dome :) So happy for the switch too, will make it much easier *big smile*
