I'm playing around with it right now, and having more than a few fly-away problems on the pony tails when doing lay-down poses, but so far this product is aces. :)
I just used Kinley for the first time. Out of the box it worked perfectly! I should have know coming from Lady LittleFox. Her products never disappoint and the attention to detail is amazing. Some of her V4 products such as Amber Hair and Victorian Innocence are still among my favorites. Thank you LLF, Kinley is a game changer!
Please post renders people! I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to see what the hair looks like in various renders! :)

Pretty please.
My first render is almost done (84%). I'll post in a bit.
First full render is only about 40% done (after 1.5 hours... wow), but here's a screenshot of what I've been working on.
I could have done more with her pose, but my goal was to see what it looks like "laying down on a surface."
All done.
My render timed out (dang it) but here's 65% done. As you can see, it piles up nicely when laying down.
I think that if I played with the bones a bit before simulating, I could make it look even better than it does now.

@Chronopunk, For future reference, if you set Max Time to 0, it effectively turns off the limit. If you also set Quality to Off, you can control the length of the render by setting the Max Samples. And if the image isn't done to your liking, don't save or close the window. You can increase the Max Samples and hit the Resume button. (Same is true if you want to increase the time, if you haven't set it to 0.)
While your gal's hair looks a mess, it's very realistic for someone sleeping. (Though I imagine the makeup would be a mess, too, if she went to sleep without removing it first. lol)
@BornTechy, That looks really good. I wish it wasn't quite so dark, just so I could see what the hair is doing. But that's just 'cause I want to see the hair. The scene is really cute.
I had no idea about that time factor and quality trick. I'm going to have to start doing that. Thank you!
And yeah, I just pulled my saved character out of my presets folder and did a quick slap-together environment and close-up camera because I wanted to see if the hair would do okay when prone. Had this been an actual production render, I'd have cleared her makeup and done more with the arms. But it's not bad for a one-off! :D

@Divamakeup, Oh, no temptation here. It's been in my cart since last night's changeover. It's the only thing I wanted from yesterday's promo, so I waited to see if there was anything I wanted tonight, but I'm checking out sometime today with it. (I'm gonna wait, in case there's another flash sale…)
@Chronopunk, You're welcome. It took me more than a year to get up the nerve to see what happened when I turned Quality to Off. It sure would have saved me a lot of hair-pulling if I'd tried it sooner! Always happy to pass on the info.

And you're right, it's not bad for a one off. I hadn't even noticed the makeup until the second time I was looking over the image!
Im dying to know how well dforce hair works...
Here are a few down and dirty renders. One of them showing my own 'recipes' for color combos because of how versatile it is. And the posed one to show how it drapes upside down. It's been a joy to work with, easy to use and colors/blends are as good as your imagination. Gives you an idea if you're on the fence about how it loooks and performs. It's awesome!

Note: I was experimenting with strays I created myself (those stretching accross in front of the chest area; don't let those distract you from the hair, as it is great. Different UVs on the strays I created, so issues.

I did another couple of low-size, HDRI-backgrounded images last night just to mess about with it, and I'm noticing that it doesn't quite understand that gravity has to apply to the whole of the hair and not just the tails. You can see this in @sapat 's upside down images.
There's also a teensy issue with clipping on some of the stray, fly-away strands, but it's really only an issue on closeups, so far.
As far as dang-near-perfect tools go, this is one of them, and I'm loving it. :)
OK, sold! Your recipes look amazing and so does the hair! I wish all hair did that! I'm guessing it takes forever to render though...
Well I certainly did not need another ponytail hairstyle, but thanks to Lady Littlefox this might be the last set of ponytails I ever need to purchase. I was so hoping that dforce would carry over to hair. Thanks for this Lady Littlefox, I cant wait to see what you do with dforce next!
I dont know that I really noticed it taking that much longer than any other hair, couldnt say for certain though. The render that took the longest above was Kinley Hair_3. On my gtx 770 it took an hour and 15 min. but I think it may have been the suit that took most of that time. See the pitting in the left shoulder of the suit? I think it was that detail along with the emmisives and reflections that took the bulk of that time. Also, there are two transparancy settings for the hair. There is a setting for close-up transparancy and one for further out shots.
Very cool hair. It behaved a bit wildly when I simulated it, but that messiness looks pretty awesome, too. Its very suitable for certain twintailed characters. I used my own custom texture, which is very small, only 512x512 and 20 kb in size. I post that because I did notice my render time was longer than normal over my usual hair which is imported from something-something. But it looks nice. The "loose strands" make a huge difference.
I feel like this hair is "Next Gen Hair" for Daz Studio. That is how good this is. It is a level above everything else I have seen. Not only does it have dforce included, but the numerous bones make for a lot of posing options without even using dforce. That's on top of lots of morphs! The attention to detail is kind of scary! All the morphs look natural, too, they don't do weird stretching which I'm sure you've seen at times from other items.. Sometimes I feel that some are using dforce as a substitute for morphing and rigging, which IMO is not the way to do it. Not this hair. And it fits both G3 and G8. Lady Littlefox really did everything.
If there is one thing that would put this even more over the top than it already is, it would be some textures. The hair actually does not have any color textures, instead relying on its bump and transmaps for detail. If you add a texture, it can make this awesome hair even more lifelike since a texture can have the color variation of real hair. So I recommend adding one. I added my texture, but I did not change a single surface setting. I was pretty happy with the result. This is my first render with the hair.
If you like twintails, you buy this hair. 'Nuff said.

Is there a separate opacity for the bangs by any chance? Or at least for the fly-away bits? I love the tails, there's just so much messy bang, and it would be nice to be able to make it a bit neater for some renders.
There are actually 3 different surfaces just for the bangs. You can tone down the dynamic strength which will keep them more in place. Overall, there are 9 different surfaces, and a 10th when you count the hairband. This allows lots of blending colors, but also lots of dforce adjustment.
Going to my wishlist, then! I'm very excited about the concept of dForce hair, hopefully we'll see lots more of this in many more styles. Hair was one of the first things I thought about when dForce was first released, awesome to see it working! ^_^
Here is a quick and dirty render using the bangs with a dynamic strength of 46. By default they are 94.

I don't see how you can say that , given the material system in this product. The system lloks to make color variation easier to implement and more customizable.
There are a few very strong selling points about this hair that havent been discussed enough.
1. The hair fits G8F and G3F. From my perspective, any item that fits both g3 and g8 gets first consideration of everything else.
2. Still not sure about dforce or dont want to take the time to run simulation after simulation??? Dont! This hair item not only has bones to aid in the positioning of the ponytails, it also has numerous pose controls to get that look that you're going for. So skip the dforce all together if you want.
3. The material customization system is really cool. You start by applying the base color to the hair of which there are 12. Then you apply a tint from a choice of 5 colors. You can darken and lighten the hair tint easily with provided presets. The you can apply streaks to the hair, medium or thin, lighten and darken. And still theres more options! You can apply an ombre to the hair and you can also apply coloring to the hair tips. Both of these options have the choices for color and lightening or darkening. The ombre effect also has softening options available. Its a cool hair coloring system that I hope catches on.
So hopefully that fills in some of the gaps for those of you that are still on the fence about Kinley Hair.
