Monique 7 for Monique 8 and other products in this vein...

I'm a tad bit confused.  What exactly will these products do?  Basically make characters for one particular base model available for the current base model?

    I think it will just give the Genesis 8 version the same basic shape as the Genesis 7 one, plus allowing you to use the Monique 7 maps on Monique 8. It probably won't transfer any other Gen 7 morphs, so you may or may not get a 100% likeness.

    They made Michael 7 for Michael 8. Can they make Victoria 7 for Victoria 8? And Victoria 5 for Victoria 8? If they do, I'll buy them!

    I used to hope that DAZ would pick up the mantle of GenX after the original creator passed away. Instead it seems they'd rather sell us one old morph at a time for $10 a pop. This regression in ability to move morphse between generations is a major reason .. no, THE major reason ... I've not embraced Genesis 8 and may never. Genesis 3 has all my morphs from V4/M4 up, Genesis 8 makes you jump through hoops to get imperfect replicas or buy the base shapes one at a time.

    Iam so happy for the Michael 7 morph. I was literally spending hours yesterday trying to transfer the head morph over to g8 but kept having problems with the eyes and mouth transferring weird and finally gave up. Such a coincidence that this should pop up the next day.

    That's what I thought.  I think I'm going to stay with Genesis 3 down for now.  I'll collect the Pro Bundles for G8, but I don't see adopting it for the things I'm doing right now.

    That is until someone makes something like Generation X.

    Ditto. And with the sad loss of GenX's creatotor there was there didn't seem to be much else being developed

    I don't own Michael 8. If I get the Michael 7 for Michael 8, can I get Michael 7 without M8?  I never liked Michael 8 and would only get him if the pro bundle was free or ridiculously cheap...  

    Also, there was a way I think Syckleyield had for transferring morphs but I'm not sure if the UVs would work, but I think there's a product to use the 7 Gen original UVs on 8...

    Yes, found it here: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-character-uvs-for-genesis-8-male.  So if you get that and create your own morphs with Singular Blues or Syckleyield's method ( pretty sure it was her) you can make your own G3 morphs...

    The decision not to offer the script was the author's, no one "put the nix" on it.

    I stand corrected then. I had the feeling that he felt like he didn't  have a choice, but I guess I could be wrong about that.

    Either way, it's sad it is no longer avaliable. Seeing all these 7 to 8 transfers in the store I decided to try Teen Josie 7 to genesis 8 and it worked fairly well. Since most of the addon characters for all the Daz G7 figures used the genesis 3 base UVs, I am not missing anything by not getting the new UV maps.

    Anyhow, I hope Singular Blues gets it perfected and in the store, would love to see them rewarded for all the hard work
