Hole hair and the Preset of Doom?

And while I love its merits (seriously, if you want photorealism, you do need it!), I wonder if the last line about a 3Delight Hair Converter Preset is "Day-Appropriate" or for real?

You're missing the point. I am not talking about the hair itself (though that is a neat idea in itself for a real sales item), but the 3Delight Converter settings. I was wondering if they are part of the joke, or foreshadow something real, because of all the requests in that department.
Keep in mind there is a free converter script, and it could be they were noting they used that and made no other changes.
*Though of course, they could mean something else. No idea.
It may be a specific preset that adjusts the settings for 3Delight, not a general script for covnerting Iray to 3Delight. I've seen some character sets which have a single 3Delight file to be applied after all the other options are set.

Hair today, but gone tomorrow. :D I couldn't resists either.
It's a real preset :D The mats were done to match the CC Beard Boss. There are around 130 mats and saving those twice was not something I was looking forward to, so I set up the mats for Iray, then I added a preset that will apply the 3DL shader to it (just like on the beard). It's an extra step for 3DL, but it's definitely a real material preset that will work on any of the other 130+ mat presets. That said, it is not a universal converter. This will specifically work for the way my iray shaders are set up for fibermesh hair, so on anything else, your mileage may vary.

I have Beard Boss for G8M and LOVE it!!! It's the best thing ever and such a huge variety of colors and styles. Amazing product. It has the 3DL converter too.
The price has to be an April Fool's joke! If it was priced normally, I might have actually purchased it.

I was thinking it was a joke product and they were trying to dissuade people from purchasing with the high price. I never would have thought to put it in my cart if I hadn't read this thread! Thanks.
I found that the cart only gave me the discount when I put another of the freebies in the cart with it (both of them now free). But that may only be the cart acting up. I've had the cart be balky about giving me the right price before.
I was dissapointed it did not hav longer options rigged appropriately to make it prehensile.... that and the aforementioned lack of a "braided" option". And what of a version for G8F. Women have hairy ho....... er.... I'm going to stop now. :)
It autofits well to G8F and the G3 gen though :D Braids are for the expansion ;)
This is like last year, it was The Bearded Lady. lol!
If somebody could to good clean braided fibre hair they should not waste time on nose hairs but head straight to doing female braided hair style.
meh, I have tried endlessly with every fiberhair method I have ie LAMH, Zbrush and Carrara, they just don't act like real physical hairs with collision to pull and braid!

Maybe improvements will come with LAMH 2.
Maybe next year we could have the Dodgy Home Haircut :)
