How did THAT happen in less than a year! After further inspection, 278 GB are Scene Subsets. Looks like it's time to move all those scene subsets to my backup computer! ...or do I just delete them... hmmm.
Do you use old scene subsets?

I rarely use save scene subsets for long. I have very few (the first that coems to mind is the terrarium scene subset I made a long time ago) which I've saved, but most often I delete them after being done with them. I tend to use them to build up several parts of a scene, and than put it all together into the scene before tweaking, lighting and rendering. To make it easier for the ram :)
Sounds as if your scene subsets have custom items or imported mesh that has not been saved as assets - if it's unique to a single scene that's fine, but if you are reusing content over multiple scenes it's more efficient to use File>Save As>Support Assets to save a central version of props, figues, and morphs that you created/imported yourself so that the data is on disc only once. You don't need to do this for things that are using stock assets, like a figure with a store character applied, only for things that didn't start in DS format.
I have about 200GB I think but it is almost exclusively DAZ Store & Smith Micro library content.
I have 415 gigs and all my scenes are saves outside of the Daz library folder. Of course, I've been at it more than a year ;).

I am not sure how big my daz content folder is right now. I am trying to look it up but busy doing a render of glow in the dark Pweek. I will be back.
yes same here. I have currently 5 Hdd drives of orginized content folders each holding well over 200 gigs in each HDD drive.
Just like you I've been hunting and gathering 3d content longer than a year too :)
though to be honest the newest 1 TB HDD drive is just for bill board props
...a little OT but when I looked at my wishlist total it shows 404 items.
Hehehe - I totally get it. I am in cleanup mode and got rid of about 40 from Wishlist today. Now down to a little over 300.
