One of today's New items - Gardenview Bathroom - reminds me I keep forgetting to ask (and search comes up with nothing) -
How do you put water in a tub so your character can take a bath?

My first suggestion would be to make a plane, through the create new - Primitive - plane and than size it so it fits, and after that put on a water shader.
The second suggestion would be if you have a water plane of any sort, that you load that and size it to fit the tub. And either use the water material on it, or use a water shader of your choice.
I'm sure there is other ways too, but those are the ones I would do, as those are the ways I know :) Hope it helps
This also has a square water plane.

And it's currently on sale.
You could use a plane for the top water level. You could use rigged water prop. You could also use a fluid simulator.
There is a free fluid simulator plugin for Carrara. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/220631/fluidos-plugin-for-carrara-version-1-1-update/p1
There are fluids for Blender. https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/physics/fluid/index.html
