Monochrome What am i doing wrong

Using the monochrome iray package. There are 2 things i find strange:
1 I have GPU selected in my iray settings yet it uses my CPU, ram maxes out at around 5GB and my GPU has 8
2 My render is in colour and not monochrome. It should work out of the box with the presets.
Any clue what i am doing wrong?

Firstly. check the video on this page, it may have some answers about the set: https://www.daz3d.com/monochrome-iray
As for CPU, it's a hit and miss on some machines (my laptop included). Make sure your card setting is set to use Daz Studio application at GPU setting as well. Save a scene, clear cache and don't use background apps (browser, video, music and such) while rendering. On some scenes I had to save parts of the scene as scene subset and load them into fresh scene seperately and apply render settings from first scene I tried. It's a bit of a pita, but sometimes helps. Check your drivers and update them if needed.
Why your image is not B&W, probably not right settings are applied, Colm's set comes with "Render Settings" folder that will also change saturation to cooperate with promo look. So make sure you selected at least one of those presets. Scenes from the set included in the pack should come with these settings pre-applied, so maybe start from there ;)
I saw that video but my problem was not adressed.
It always renders using my GPU just on this preset it doesn't. I used two methods:
1 load in model then scene
2 load scene then import/merge model
Both cases it renders on CPU...
I think i failed on the render settings folder. I will give that a look.
EDIT: Restarting DAZ made it render using my GPU, And i forgot render settings, so now its rendering in B&W

Another tip for speeding up render times and freeing your video memory to get GPU to sober up is optimizing your scene, meaning optimizing geometry and sizing down the textures. There's a script around here in forums for free that scales textures down, and there's also a product "Scene Optimizer" with more extensive settings to optimize your scenes and make rendering faster and less hoggy.
