Aiko 7 for Aiko 8?

Is this just Aiko 7's maps transferred to the base UV and her shape ported to G8?

And is that literally all there is in there? I'm trying to find out if there's any sense in buying this if you have the Redz UVs and Aiko 7 already.
I picked it up for about $4, but have to wait until pay day to get Aiko 8. It just has Aiko 7's shape and base mats/makeup that come with her figure. Because I don't have Aiko 8 her face doesn't look quite right.
I didn't have time to test her out for other textures, blending, etc. before leaving for work this morning.

This seems like an odd choice for a product since there are already ways to achieve the Aiko7 look on G8
No problem. When I get home tonight one of the first things I want to test out is if other character morphs and textures for Aiko 7 will work on Aiko 8 using this product. If you have Redz UVs this probably will only be a good item to pick up if you really like Aiko 7 shape and morphs.
I can already port morphs over so unless there is a lot of care taken adding new JCMs and all that there's no value-added from the shape for me.
It's a weird product. DAZ (almost?) never just sells the same character moved forward a generation so I was hoping there was actually something new here. But so far it looks like it really is just "Aiko 7, except you need Aiko 8 to use her."
it is confusing to me, as most things are. I have A7, and she looks just fine. Suppose for backward compatibility to use A8 stuff on her?
All that conversion ffrom whatever character, using clothes from g3 to g8, etc etc confuses me too. There seems to be a ton of products to do this, but it also seems it is possible to just do it eithin the program DS ... I'm confused
There are no clothes specific to Aiko 7 (or Aiko 5,6,7 or 8). There is one skin (and only one) specific to Aiko 7, and I guess that is what this product gives you.
Yep. It is not even useful for using older characters because to use them you have to transfer their morphs which means you might as well transfer the Aiko 7 morph while you're at it. The only reason to get this is if you do not have Aiko 7 yet and aren't ever planning to pick up her pro bundle.
I guess it's all about time. If you'd rather spend time transferring morphs from A7 to A8 yourself or spend $3.30 to have it done for you. I'm realizing that a lot of the products sold here are things you can do yourself but it's a matter of whether you want to spend the time doing it...
Except that, in this case, you are losing functionality. If you transfer Aiko 7 on your own you can combine her freely with Aiko8, while those using this product depend on Aiko 8 being dialed in to get Aiko 7, thus missing out on possible combinations. It tells you something about a product when it is objectively worse than the DIY method.
Whatever this product is good for, I only get 58% or 10.50$. So why was this released today but is not available with the promotion on Aiko 8???
According to reports, she at least doesn't need Aiko 8 to work. Which means DAZ completely broke two product requirement statements for this launch for no apparent reason.
They meant the product to be a bonus MM offer to those who buy new/still new stuff.

It's now listed at the March Madness page. Previously, people found about this because P3D Riza lists it as a required product.
I only saw it in the newsletter until fairly late today.

Aiko 7 for 8 is not applying the additional 10% for owning Aiko 8 pro bundle, it shows 3.67 in the cart with additional 10% that should be 3.30 crorect?
I didn't buy P3D Riza yesterday together with the pro bundle and add-ons since her product page indicated this (Aiko 7 for 8) was required.
Actually nothing is applying the extra 10% for owning Aiko 8 Pro.
I like her very much.

Sorry for my late reply. P3D Riza is for Aiko 8. In order to use this product properly Aiko 8 and the Genesis 8 Female head morphs are required. Somehow daz made a mistake at the product page. I emailed them and hope they will fix it soon :)
I hope it didn't hurt her sales. She's really a wonderful character - I really like her. And that skin! Well done!!
Since several are wondering, here's a quick render I did, showing Aiko 7 for Aiko 8 with default presets (i.e. Aiko 8 dialed in) at the left, with Aiko 8 dialed out at the right. As pointed out, she gets a bit more massive...
So she does need Aiko 8.
