Darwins Mishaps' Liam... dang it!

Just saw Darwins Mishap(s) 's newest release, Liam...

 

I admit it, I don't usually buy guy stuff. I just don't do much with guys in art. I have like 2 characters for Genesis male 7 and nothing yet for G8Male.

 

Then came Liam. DANG IT. Right into my cart...

 

Now I need to get Edward 8. And some clothes for him. And probably CC's beard boss too (alright, I'll own up to it- I was just LOOKING for a reason to get it)... but then I need to find some good fibermesh-y hair to match the beard.... 

And I was just gonna grab some shaders. oops. O.o 

I BLAME YOU, DARWINs Mishap(s)!!! ALL YOUR FAULT! (good work)

 

Waiting for payday but yeah, you guys, you can count on it. You got me good.

    Welcome to the dark side.

    In a month or two, you'll be clamoring for more male content. Come next November, you'll be plotting your three entries in the annual It's Raining Men competition... Yep. Liam is just the beginning.

    Be sure and check out RedzStudio both here and at Rendo. She has a lot of fiber mesh hair styles available, and each product works on males and females, G3 and G8. (Though at Rendo, you may need to look in the freebies to find the fits she added after G8 came out.)

    What I really want to know, Darwin, is if the story is, or ever will be, published. You've told us so much about these people, I'm really interested in getting the book(s) and reading from start to finish!

    You'll have to go over to my Art Thread and harass Ollie-he's the one who will be eventually writing these. ;) He also put up a list of future projects in case I *cough* forget.

    oops i didn't see any replies but thanks for the tips!!! My cart is filling up big time... ACK. All i know is... time for some male renders coming up :) Plus it'll distract me from these root canals i'm getting done.

    OK, well I grabbed Liam. This also got me to FINALLY get the G8 male head and body morphs. And one outfit. LOL. Wanted to get redz hair too but will have to be another time. DIdn't get edward either yet, but THANK YOU Darwin for kindly including promo of Liam without Edward, since I can't get it yet. :)

    In the promo where he looks older and has gray eyebrows, he has crows feet (and possibly other details I may have missed).  How do you get the crows feet?  I didn't see an 'older guy' option for him.  Is that something that requires a special pack?

    Sapat - This one  https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-male-head-morphs  has crows feet in the morphs, not sure if the ones Liam has is further defined/noticed due to Zev0's Aging morphs or Edward 8, but atleast the crows feet are in the head morphs. Hope that helps :)

    That is the folder you will need for the additional aged look- it also requires Zev0's Aged for Genesis 8 Male to use.

    Thanks.  I don't own the Aged pack. Wonder if there's a way to just use G8M's HD addon by itself under Liam's skin.  I don't know if it can be applied on its own or if it's just built into Edward and can't be used for anyone else..  Or I can just dial in the crows feet from G8F head morph pack.

    You can add the crows feet from G8M, and I haven't checked Edward's settings, but I believe he had an HD set?  I could be wrong-I'm not awake yet. lol

    Yes, Edward came with a HD addon, but when you load Edward HD, it's already part of him.  I don't know how to deal with that.  Too confusing for my pea brain.

    The HD Add ons are "Shaping" morphs, found under the Shaping tab..

    • Load Liam first and fill the viewport with his face. Leave him selected.
    • In Parameters, set the subD to 3.
    • Set the Draw Mode to NVIDIA Iray so you can see the results of the dial.
    • Go to the Shaping tab.
      • In the left column, click on Head.
      • In the right column, type Edward in the text/filter field.
      • Now dial in Edward 8 Head HD Details to 100% and wait for the viewport to update.
      • Adjust the amount of the dial, if necessary, until you're happy with the crow's feet.
    • And then set the Draw Mode to something other than NVIDIA Iray.

    I hope this helps.

    Last day of march Madness. I really didn't want to spend any more money, but Liam's been calling me all month. I'm glad I got him - great morph and textures!

    Christian is Liam's grandson actually :) and yesh.. such a good looking man, but with genes as Liam and Gio, what else could we think *grins*

    Very nice!  I'm glad you enjoyed working with him.  

    I'd like to thank everyone that's assisted with questions about the products I've put out there-it's very nice to see the community assist with that, and I know I've found answers that way myself.  Thank you!
