How DAZ can do business like that?
Ok, this is my first time I post in DAZ forum. Long time lurker also. I dont know how to add pictures, so I will describe situation briefly. Yesterday I noticed ad from DAZ in my inbox: "Huge Mihael 4 and Victoria 4 Weekend blowout! Get up to 90 proc. of. Sale ends Sunday!"
I spend half a day choosing around 200 items I want to buy. Knew, dont need to rush, it will last till sunday. Saturday morning I opened DAZ and no sale, its gone. I tems in may cart cost more then 2000 instead of 200 :) Obviously, not buying it, but it was such a waist of my time and how company can lie to costumers like that? All banners on the sites, shot, all that marketing compain and ups, we screwed you :)
I can't trust company, that makes business like that. Asked for refund for all purcaheses I made in last 30 days. Its 550 dollars. Interested, what you think about that? Maybe you have been in same situation?
Sorry, for my english. Not my native language.

No, its not. Just tried. My cart is at same full price.
If your cart is not working as expected you may want to open a sales Support ticket, attaching a screen shot.
I did that. Usualy answer comes in 3 days. Its not my card issue, as you know perfectly well. Read other threads. DAZ publicly anounced sale and its terms, and then onesidedly changed all that disregarding costumers. ICan not remember if I had such experience in any other online store. Anyway, very bad way to treat your costumers. Will be supercarefull in the future. Meanwhile, asked for refund of all my purchases last 30 days. Dont want to let company insult its costumers without any consequence. If everyone would do same, maybe DAZ would reconsider its aditude. Not words but actions shows what a company is. Really angry, waiting for my money and will spend it elswere.
All the stuff from he sale that I had in my cart is now FULL PRICE. If DAZ wants to run their sales that way then I don't want to do businbess here anymore.
Excacly, DAZ lost my respect with that. Its ont a glich, terrible way of treating costumers. And for normal company it should cost. For normal one, not for DAZ.
If they intended the sale to last all weekend, then it is a glitch. But being a weekend, it's bad timing, as most people are not working on weekends.
I have a screen shot that says ends sunday. Daz made an offer, I accepted it. I expect them to honor it.
Edit: My cart went full price too.
Daz is in the process of addressing this, please keep an eye on your carts and the category.
I have the same problem. All the V4/M4 items I put in my cart yesterday are back to full price. :-(
Update: 4:50 PM EST - It's fixed! Yay!
Yep. I've been dealing with Daz for about five years , and I've come to expect this kind of thing from them. There have been big problems with communicating clearly in ads, on product pages (even selling products that simply don't work anymore), and on written manuals/wikis (abysmal). It just isn't a customer oriented outfit. This is especially hard on newbies. The good thing is Daz has slowly been getting better, and --like everyone says--they have a generous return policy.
Yeah, new users have two major learning curves if they start Daz3D: They need to learn the program with how many different tasks they need to figure out. But they also need to figure out how the store works! How these wacky sales actually stack, how PC+ coupons don't work correctly when free items are in a cart. March Madness, banner coupons. How the generations of models are different. And so on.
Its a really huge hill to climb if you have not played with 3D apps before. Just try to imagine it, and how overwhelming it may be to someone. I can tell you I felt quite overwhelmed at times, and I am gamer who has done some modding on the side. Daz3D is a whole different world. Lighting, posing, morphing are just the start. You can write books about surface settings and shaders. And you need to think about you hardware. Even just toying around with Daz Studio requires a decent PC.
Its not for the feint of heart.
@skirmantas.malinauskas, @Charlie Judge
Daz 3D alway fixes glitches when they happen. People that are "Long time lurker also" or post pretty frequently "Charlie JudgePosts: 5,672" should know that.
I think some follks are getting tired of the glitches even happening at all.
Noooooo they don't.
I still get double gift cards often which both work. I return them and now tech support just tells me not to click on the extra one.
They do in sales.
Not arguing with that. Not too many purchasing choices if you don't model. Except for a handful of vendors (all of whom now sell here), I find the bulk of the items offered on Rendo to be poorly done.
I was able to buy items I kept in cart. Was thinking of clearing my cart. Lesson for the future - if you see good offer, buy right away. It can be gone despite what add says.
That's always a good thing to do. And if a better offer comes along in a few hours, you can write to support, and ask for the price difference. So when you see a good deal, it's best not to think, but check out as soon as possible. :D
If I did that, I'd probably be divorced by now. lol :P Too many really tempting sales!
You're right, I should probably add: within reason. :D
First, I wouldn't do something against those who make the products. They didn't do anything to me. Daz the store is only one part of the equation. PEOPLE make the products, and they already suffer from lost sales due to the glitches, and I wouldn't compound it by canceling other sales that had nothing wrong with them. Not to mention that just hurts me, if I got a good deal on something.
I can understand your frustration, and you need to do what is best for you- but it doesn't sound like you are an experienced shopper here. Not saying that to be mean- it's just if you have patience, the moderators will try to get with Daz and relay what's going on, and then make it right. Unfortunately, doing what you did only hurts you, Daz has thousands (tens of thousands?) of buyers who are experienced with the glitches, and continue to shop because they gleefully take advantage when glitches work in their favor. No one complains THEN.
Try surfing the sale thread (here in Commons) every day, and you'll see the status of what is going on. The moderators post there often. Hang in there, you'll find some great products here, and the PAs appreciate your support.
