I really wish they would sort out the problem with the PC vouchers and free items, I would like to use my PC one but it only reduces the total by $2 instead of $6 because of the free bundles.

if you buy 3 of the extra icons say for example you buy 3 of the products at  $7.33 the total price drops less than the bundle and you get a bit knocked off those extras too plus further down the page you get to pick 3 bonus items for free which include a lot of pro bundles if you  don't have then, so there are bonuses on top of bonuses there if you work it right then after you've checked those out you can go back if there was another new addon you wanted and use your coupon then as most of them are daz products so you can use your platclub coupon that one can be used on daz new releases

If you have any free items in the cart they will eat up part of the voucher, there are no extra add ons I want I had trouble finding three: this is a bug that has been around for ages and now its annoying I usually use my voucher as it brings the price down to something I can kinda justify, it s why in the end I didn't get the Alexandra Pro Bundle or her at all.

  • I think this is the first time I've actually wanted the content in a pro-bundle when it came out.  More than half of it went to my wishlist.  Now I just need a good sale for him.

  • Me too. The hd says pro to me.

If this is the way things are going to be with bundles from now on, I'm out. I'll just be buying the base figure if I find the character interesting.

Curious, going how? This is the first pro bundle I have ever considered getting. mainly because I like the character, love that the HD is included and like enough of what is included to justify it....almost, LOL.

I have very little use for figure specific HD morphs, unless those morphs are doing things I can't get in other add on HD morph packs.

dForce clothing is not more expensive than conforming, though it generally is more work.

Another great looking male figure to add to my library.  Only dilemma now is what free Pro bundles to choose.

That's the only reason I haven't bought him yet.  I've got so many bits and pieces out of all the bundles that it's getting hard to figure out which ones I don't already own most of... Talk about your "first world problems".... :p

  • Is there a reason that dforce clothing looks a bit thin fabric weight wise? I typically like Contemporary clothing but some of the newer dforce clothing seems to be thinner and not have the weight of the old conforming cloth. fabrics like denim do not move like sheet fabric as it has weight and some degree of stiffness.  So denim for example is less likely to pool at your feet like a silk fabric.

Wouldn't that be down to the material settings? Not the mesh or anything like that? It may just be that collectively people are still working out the best settings for material. I have had to adjust settings on my own quite a bit, and still haven't nailed what settings work best for things like denim, thicker jackets, etc.

For me its the inability to use PC vouchers if purchasing the Pro Bundle.

I used the PC voucher on mine. However, I didn't pick any free bundles. I have most of the ones I want from the choices I had. But I know that having free items in the cart messes up any vouchers you might have. I wish they could fix it, but I'm not sure how they'd do it.

AlmightyQuest: Yeah, if you look at most conforming clothing... the vast majority of it is only one layer. It's not an issue of how it's structured, it's an issue with getting it to look right.

With conforming stuff, that generally depends on good planning and artistic sense to get the right appearance. Though that appearance can break down with some morphs and autofit.

With dForce, you are relying on a simulation to mimic real cloth, and that requires a lot of dialing in to the right value, of how the surface moves and flows. Ideally, however, it can handle circumstances and changes that break down with conforming.

I hope that the deals on both the Alexandra and Edward Pro bundles are still in effect next week on the first of March. If so, I will spend a lot of money, lol.

Edward HD with a couple of extras. With a little tweaking, I think he'd be a Stark reminder of someone.

Actually he looks like a teacher I once had a huge crush on LOL. Who are you referring to? I was thinking Stark was a hint referring to Ironman but I don't think he looks like Robert Downey JR...

I'd have a crush on that teacher!

I bought Alexandra Pro using the PC+ coupon and the saving was some $4.5 less than it should have been, for the reasons stated. However all you have to do submit a ticket with a before and after screenshot and DAZ will credit you the difference. I had my credit back in less than 24 hours.

I suspect the deals with Alexandra 8 will expire next Tuesday 27th. They tend to last two weeks from release date. You should be okay with Edward 8 until 8th March (no guarantee though and I'm not sure how long they will be including the free HD version).

Edward is awesome! So happy DAZ is going down this road, I feel a click with both him and Alexandera! Installing the content now after purchasing the bundle this morning. I am now sitting down after a long busy day and this is a VERY welcome distraction :D Yay!

Regarding the PC+ coupon glitch. If you want full value on that, apply it, on its own, to one of the add-ons. Yeah, it's annoying that you can't use it toward the bundle if you've got freebies in the cart, but you can take the full $6 off of something else. It only has to be a DAZ Original. It doesn't have to be $18 like the PA coupon.

  • You can't apply it to a single item in the cart though, right? I thought the three add-ons to qualify for the highest discount and three free items had to all be in the cart at the same time. If you can buy the three add ons, and then buy the bundle with the discount afterwards in a separate order, that would solve the problem.

I don't want anything else - I'm already purchasing 3 things that I could easily live without just to bring the bundle price down.

No - everything has to be in the cart at the same time.

  • On the Edward 8 buy page, if you scroll down, you'll see "This product includes the following product" Edward 8 HD Add-On. Am I misunderstanding the word "includes" to mean that if I buy just Edward (not in a bundle), the HD Add-On comes with...? tx

I got the pro bundle, but going by the product page you should get Edward 8 HD even if you just purchase the base product.

I'm not sure you do, the whats included doesn't mention the HD, and although the promo page indicates in one place you do it also list the HD as an add on for the product, pretty confusing really.

Why is Edward 8 not available in Daz Connect?

That is exactly what it says on the product page, so it should be included. From the banner, this seems to be a limited time offering.

It is included, I decided to only get the base, and yes the HD is included.

From another thread, Richard said that is being fixed or fixed and just needs to sync up.

I thought that might be the case, too, since there are no more encrypted products (that I know of). There is no "need" for Daz Connect anymore. However, all the other products in the bundle and the add ons I bought are available in Daz Connect, so I doubted that they were eliminating Daz Connect.

Still? There was an issue, but it should have been fixed. try Logging off and back in in DS to force a refresh.

Connect was simply another option to install content; it was simply easier to add the encryption needed to that instead of modifying DIM.
