  • I keep the main window ('stage') on my good monitor (the big expensive one) on the right and all the various pallets and windows on the old, cheap, junky one on the left side.  I arrange all the pallets similarly to the layout in Blender and all my other graphics programs.

One problem you may encounter if you're using HDMI or Display port is this...( https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/windows-7-dual-monitors-turning-off-a-monitor/e0b8bb93-5960-4273-b959-4e3177946f8d?page=7 )   If you read the entire thread you'll see that of the numerous solutions, not all of them work for everyone.   After much screwing around I found that the little program, Persistent-Windows (mentioned on the last page) worked for me.  This has been a problem with multiple monitors for several years which Microshaft refuses to even acknowledge, let alone fix.

Depending on the size of your monitor(s) you might also find the text in Studio too teeny-weeny to read.  All my other graphics programs let me adjust the text size....except Studio (hint, hint?)

When I was useing 2 monitors, I was using a 1080 TV and a 4K TV.  I had most everything on the 1080 because of the text size. I put the Viewport on the other because resolution didn't really affect it.  When it gets down to it, It's all about ease of use.  Experiment to find what works best for YOU.  I'm not using 2 now because my graphics card is old and it seamed to have trouble when I upgraded to 2 4K TVs

I'm using 2 monitors on my rigs, the way I have it setup is the Viewport by itself is on the main monitor in front of me. On the right I have the Scene tab by itself, then next to that a group of tabs with Parameters/Surfaces/shaping/simulation settings/powerposer/pupeteer, then next to that I have Smart Content/Content library/render settings.

My dual monitor setup consists of  a 4k monitor with viewport on the left and all my working tabs grouped together on a 1080 right side monitor. The two issues I've encountered are that it's hard for me to read the small text in menu boxes of the 4k monitor and if I inadvertently close the grouped panes on the right side monitor I need to reconstruct the group pane as I haven't found a way that saves my custom display setup.

  • If I use my two monitor setup, DAZ Studio is on the main monitor (laptop display) and anything else I might want to use is on the other (20 inch(
