    I grew up in New Orleans and enjoyed many of these way back when. But it's been many years since I made it back there on Fat Tuesday.

    ..yeah lived in in New Orleans back in the mid - late 70s and experienced Fat Tuesday in the Vieux Carré.  Had a friend with a flat on Rue Bourbon which we stocked up and stayed at all through the celebration.  Never went down to the street, too crazy down there. Just hung out on the balcony and watched the show.
