Missing Files
I don't have anything in Accessories, Anatomy, Animations, Cameras, Figures... etc
There's nothing there... the files don't upload, they don't exist.

How did you install your content? Are you using the default locations?
What's the default locations? I basically downloaded the file, then clicked on it and agreed to the terms of service and it provided a default location to download...
What's wrong?
Sorry, which file did you download? There are multiple parts - the application, plug-ins (not all of which are usable without additional applications or licenses), then the four Genesis X Starter Essentials (if installed via Connect) or seven (if installed via DIM), plus the Default Resoureces and the dForce Starter Essentials.
Look for any sort of system logs that may tell you if something could not be installed. If you did not install it through the Administrator account (not Run as Administrator, but the actual Admin user account) then it probably skipped right past the error displays and dumped them into the Admin logs, because the default locations are all on C:\, and it counts the User Documents folders as protected.
Richard Hazeltine,
I bought the following
I now only have three charges on the list, as early on when I basically messed up the way the panes were set-up, and basically panicked, attempted to delete the software (failed), and later on attempted to uninstall the software than re-load it, I might very well have attempted to undo that as well.
I'm not entirely sure why I did that, but these files cost money, and I'm not sure if I reversed the charge, or if I simply removed it

Reply: I'm not sure where the systems logs are located... basically the download was basically set-up automatically which I signed off. As it is, the folders are set-up as follows

Reply: I'm not sure what that means, the only thing that looks remotely like that is the "pgAdmin3". When I log in, it includes the following provisions
I'm not proficient with programming...
I edited what I wrote above so as to make it easier to respond to
Those add morphs to the figures, they don't have manyu or even any user-facing files (fiels that appear in the content panes). You should see the new entries in the Shaping or Parameters panes, in the Editor tab.
First, Don't Panic.
Second, Determine whether you have the software and the addons installed - if you're not sure about the addons, just install them again.
Once you have the software running and a Genesis 8 figure loaded into your scene, select the figure from the heirarchy navigator on the right of the screen and beneath that, select either the Shaping or Parameters tab.
The morphs will be somewhere there. You might have to expand some of the list items. You could also select the figure's head and in the Shaping or Parameters tab check to see whether the morphs are there.
Lastly, Don't Panic :P

Reply: Uh, I can't even load Genesis 8 male/female. . . here's a screencap
That looks like a problem with your content directories - the folder the database is pointing to is not there or is not in a mapped content directory. Please go to Edit>Preferences>Content tab, click the Content Directory manager button, and expand the tree in the dialogue to show the paths for the current content set, then post a screenshot. In Install Manager, assuming that si what you used to install, click the gear icon at top-right, go to the isntallation tab, and post a screenshot of that.
This might sound stupid, but I don't know how to access Install manager... regardless I have a cap of the directory itself and layout...
As for the content tab, here you go
The content directories seem to be at their default settings. How did you install your content - by clicking the Download and Install button on your account page Product Library's page for them?
Richard Hazeltine,
I downloaded off the Daz3d page... as for the other downloads, I downloaded from the store...
You should be able to launch DIM from the application list - I can't recall whether that's the dock or the Apple menu on the desktop for a Mac - under Daz 3D
I know this will make me sound stupid, but what's DIM?
Daz Install Manager.
I know this sounds stupid, but where is the install manager? It doesn't seem in the DAZ3D folder...
Maybe you didn't install it? But you can get it there:

What's the difference between the 32 and 64 bit variant?
Of what? In general 64 bit can use more memory than 32. In DS the 32 bit version is the only one with LipSync, but the 64 bit version is needed for Iray. You can have both installed.
1. What does LipSynch and IRay do?
2. The other add-ons are all compatible with either?
Iray and 3delight are the render engines in daz Studio - some recent content comes with only Iray materials
LipSync will take a recording of speech and create matching mouth poses for a selected, supported figure so that it makes the right shapes for the sounds.
