Cheers to Chohole! Not sure where to put this but just wanted to say cheers to Chohole.

I admire Pam and think she deserves more recognition and praise. Two enthusiastic thumbs up, Chohole.

Both my thumbs are facing upward!!! She's great, and I mean that from deep down. I have huge respect for her and hope that others can recognize her value as well! Shes a true friend to all of us. The entire moderation team is great and have a tough job to do and I for one don't make their lives easy sometimes, all the more reason why I respect Chohole so very much. Thanks for starting this thread!!
Yes, thanks very much. Being a cop, so to say, is a low reward, high whining proposition.
Always helpful, and keeps order, all with a very good sense of humor! Many thanks!
Thanks also for the tip on the Welsh distilled beverage, I am now determined to track it down!
Chohole was here when I first got here back in the day, along with Richard Haseltine. She's always been a great mod. :)
I think Chohole's great too. Firm but fair, and a lot of fun too. Thank you, Chohole.
She is and I still after those years I fear that stick in her avatar... Thanks for thousands of helpful posts!
Cho is a freakin rock star, and the voice of common sense in a world of tummult. Bless you Chohole!
Yes, the world would be a much bleaker place without her and her club.
Thanks for everything, and keeping your humor! This place wouldn't be the same without you!
There's a proverb: The blows of a friend are sweeter than the kisses of an enemy. As a receiver of a few whacks from Chohole, I can attest to the truth of that. ;)
Oh, Chohole is a dear, never mind her club - if you ever got hit by it, you deserved it. Chohole, on the other hand, deserves my gratitude for everything she's done on these forums.
Dang it... Now that I saw this thread I'm afraid to not say thank you...
Seriously though... Thanks for all the help over all the years... Lots and lots of years... About ten now?
Yeesh...
Well, thank you!
Having read your expose on Richard I was hoping for 'the dirt' on Chohole too!
Both Chohole and Richard are a friendlt stabilising presence who also toss in their years and years (but I am sure she is younger than her club!) of experience when called upon.
Simon said "(but I am sure she is younger than her club!)" maybe but I admit to being reasonably vintage.
You know, I have come across a lot of forums of various sorts over the years, not to mention other types of so-called social media sites, and I have to say that, despite occasional differences of opinion that inevitably arise, this forum has to be one of the more civil and respectful ones that I have found. Its almost refreshing. Its easy to imagine that that is simply because we are all such fundamentally nice people here (which, of course, we are
). However, the truth is, it is the presence of Cho and the other CV's who know when to intervene whenever things seem to be veering off course, and making certain that everyone behaves themselves. And there are times when it must seem like a thankless job. So, here's to Cho and the others. Thank you for keeping this place one that we like to visit.
Cholhole does an excellent job. My life's ambition remains to pass her post count. I've still got a way to go though!
Cheers,
Alex.
Yay! for Chohole!! Deep respect fpr putting up with much! And helping out!!
Cheers!
Hear, hear!
I echo these comments: mind you, I have to say this as she is just down and across from here a bit, so I am well within range of the club if I step out of line.
Oh where abouts in England are you?
I agree, I can't even say how many times she has helped me out. And keeping order around here is not an easy job!
Cheers! You've always helped me! And I have not idea how you are able to keep track of so many forums. I hardly ever venture outside of commons for fear of overload!
Originally from Lancashire, but now in Lincolnshire (not the flat bit).
I have a friend currently holidaying in Wales and got stuck on a snow ridden mountain just yesterday ( a hill in Australia )
first thing I thought of was @Chohole
why..... I dunno!
my parents retired to Lincolnshire, Little village called Ludford, between Market Raisen and Louth
Our Mountains are pretty big. Pen y Fan is 886m and Snowdon is 1085m I suppose techincally I live on a hill (365 m), in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons. but it sure feels like a mountain when you try walking up from the shops. We genuinely have to go down to the shops.
