Anybody got luck with simulating Maxi Dress?

I never succeed in simulating Maxi Dress even easy animation like walking. Always explode.

Any suggestion on settings or something? Appreciate much if you have got a solution cuz I've tried almost every parameter with failure. Thank you!

Don't own it, but try turning self collide off on the dress, and turn the hair and jewelry (and any shoes) to dForce static surfaces and set them to "not visible in simulation" (under surfaces tab).

Thank you very much Odaa. At least now I know that Self Collide is the problem. But when I turn it off, the legs poke. I turn it on, dress explode as usual. (I turn every item into static surface as you tell me to do).

While turning self Collide off may help with certain issues it shouldn't be required. Is it only when animating that the dress explodes? If so it may need more steps to resolve cleanly - you could try adjusting the subframes or iterations settings.

You could try opening up the dress's skeleton down to the pelvis legs and the bones below that (where the leg bones would be on G8) and see if there's handles to bend the dress backwards and sideways at that level. If so, clear simulation, try bending the handles back so the skirt is clear of the legs at the first frame of the animation and the last frame, and then try simulation again.
