legacy V4 to g8 figures

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I was wondering if the new maped figures could be saved as a new character or does it have to be saved as a scene subset because when I save it as a character and reload it into the scene I can see the leagacy geo graphs. am i doing something wrong?

    I think you would need a hierarchical preset for the materials to apply to both the figure and the geografts.

    I tried it and the geografts turned white. I guess I'll just have to save the figure as a scene subset if I can't figure this out.
