Does anybody have any insight on this product, and if it is still valid to use in DAZ Studio 4.8? Somehow I didn't notice it until yesterday, but presumably it has been around for a bit.

looks like there's also an expanded version of it that includes it, plus some other things, and has some additional dependences. V3 Morph Magnet Fits Complete ( https://www.daz3d.com/v3-morph-magnet-fits-complete )

No magnets are only for poser I'm afraid !
They do work in DS, but I don't think they're needed as "Transfer Active Morphs" should do the job.
Morphtransfer in DS4 for legacy figures??? It is still there??? where, please?
(And yes, Poser magnets translate quite well into being DazStudio DFormers)
It still works for .cr2 clothing on .cr2 figures.
Oh niiiiiiiiiiice!
(right click and there it is?)
Yes, right-click on the character.
What a wild coincidence. I was looking through the old V3 stuff just last week and I had similar questions about this product. I've got a few projects in the pipeline and I'm seriously thinking about using V3 for one of them.
Where in the mouse menu is it supposed to be? are you right-clicking on figure, or the thing you want to transfer morphs to?
Found it:
Edit > Figure > "Transfer active morphs".
Can somebody point me at a good tutorial and/or explanation of what this tool does or doesn't do? picked a figure shape and some clothing and gave it a shot, and it eliminated pokethrough in some places but had no effect in others. I'd like to understand my tools better. Thanks!
I hope this information helps someone. I am a big fan of V3. V3 is the most realistic looking model in my humble opinion, as such it's been very difficult for me to progress to the newer generations.
That being said, Daz technology has progressed a great amount since the time of magnets.
To wear the V3 clothing with G2F and G3F, I use these steps
1) there is a tutorial here that will allow you to creat a V3 clone for those models. (I will inset the link after I write this post.)
2) Once you have the clone, add a V3 clothing object to the scene and click on the modify object to figure option.
3) Fit figure to your G2F or G3F figure, and autofit should do the rest. (By "the rest" I mean, conform the clothing ot your figure and add appropriate morphs for sizing and posing).
Hope this helps!

@magnumdaz, thanks for the info and the link! However I was actually trying to transfer morphs from the V3 figure to V3 clothing that did not have those morphs; all within the V3 generation, which is what led me to this product in the first place. However from what Fixmypcmike is saying it seems as thought this functionality may be built into DS itself at this point, I just need to figure out how to use it correctly.

I suddenly had a thought, is there any good way to determine if a figure was created using entirely morphs or (assuming this is possible) is simply a custom modified shape that does not make use of morphs to achieve that shape (or is a mix of morphs and a non-morph custom shape)? Perhaps the morph transfer is working perfectly, but some things aren't morphs that can be transferred, is that possible/likely? For example for this test I had been using the Teresa Character ( https://www.daz3d.com/teresa-character ) to try to get normal V3 clothing to fit.
This might answer a question I had in another thread about GenX not transferring things too perhaps.
GenX transfers whatever morphs you select and jump through all the hoops correctly on, whether dialspun or custom. If you're using the original V3 character, select the clothes and then the load the magnets (which should show up as dformers) open the dformer tab, spawn morphs from dformers, delete dformers, and dial the new morphs until you have what you need. Or, just add a smoothing modifier to the clothing and adjust figure collisions with V3 until it fits.
